Audio Smurf Challenge #01 - Michael Jackson / Thriller
Ok, I thought it might be a good idea to pick some very common classic tunes and try to beat each others.
If we try to keep the tunes we pick very mainstream then I think everyone could join in. If we start forcing it down odd genres then it might fail.
I'll start with Michael Jackson / Thriller

You must use the version posted here, and the person with the highest score at 00:01 (GMT) Monday 18th gets to chose the next song.

My best score is 93,705 (nick: APFear)

Nice idea. Maybe after a few days the winner can pick the next song. Like you say, nothing too obscure though.
Also, why don't we use the friends thing to track our scores?
EDIT: Got about 48k but it farted all the scores away again. I'll try again later 'cos three times in a row and Thriller starts to piss me off.

The problem is, if we dont have the same version of a song, will it still synch up the scores, or will it seperate them?
For instance the version you and fear have, is: thriller -- Micheal jackson
The version I have, is entitled Jackson_Thriller.Mp3.MP3 for some reason

Songs are summed up by title and artist (which is not the actual filename of the mp3, it's data stored internally in MP3, editable via Windows), however if your version's wave or length doesn't match, you can be reported and score removed.Anhamgrimmar wrote:The problem is, if we dont have the same version of a song, will it still synch up the scores, or will it seperate them?
