WHAT THE MIC!

my mic apears to be borked. the headphones on it work, but the mic bit just wont work. its a Sennheiser one as recomended by berk, and a creative audigy2 value soundcard. im fucking stumped. its all going where its meant to, and as far as i can tell should work. but obviously ive done somthing wrong. anybody care to share some wisdom? im stumped

it sounds obvious and stupid but make sure it's plugged in right - caught me a few times... also make sure mic boost is off in your sound settings... sneaky setting that one.

i dunno about the mic boost.

often it needs to be on so you're audible.
