I've updated the cod4 server to 1.2 (cracked still) in the hope of getting beliaderekbob's game sorted. so there.

Possibly. The little advantage and giant disadvantage of v.steam.crap.whatever is that it will patch itself...

No, we don't. V1 from the original swept version still connects fine.

Edit: Even better, the patch only mods the MP .exe (and other files), and as that has no copy protection anyway, it still works without the disk (as long as you have the swept sp exe)

No reason not to patch really.

You cannot play on 1.0-1.2 server with 1.3. Steam autoupdates.

It gets old pretty fast, actually. Probably because it's not a very good map for my Dragunov :D

Please don't make the server 24/7 Christmas Crash like everyone else seems to be doing, Berk.

It's exactly like Crash, except it's a bit darker, has snow, and air strikes are dropped by Santa.

On a 50 player hardcore TDM game of it I discovered that randoms think their team is watching their back, enabling me to get behind their lines and shotgun loads of them to death. I also got my Misery Loves Company I a split second after the bloke I earned it from turned round. Arf.

cod4 has been patched to 1.5, nothing important changed.

Legit server is patched.
