I was waiting for you to spack about Starcraft :D It's good, but I think only because what it did at the time. Which is your (now) everyday RTS.

Rise of Nations is class, i'm liking it and acording to grimmie i'm getting good at it fast, which is saying alot, cause i normally spack at RTS's.

and C+C gens is decent. I'd be willing to install it again if anyone else wants to as well.

i might look into rise of nations or warcraft 3 because i hear good things.
and my little bro says he is going to buy command and conquer generals at some point.
i haven't played any RTS in ages so i expect fully to get more than my fair share of defeats.

THIS :above:

The only game I ever enjoyed that would fit into this category was Populous on the master system

Indeed it was. Badly balanced, i found. The Americans had too many special weapons, you had to be bloody good to beat them. The chinese were ok, with their fucking huge tanks. The random terrorists were utter shite, as far as i recall.

As far as Warcraft 3 goes, I....er....a friend has told me that you can use less than legal versions online with a cunning tool that tricks it into thinking your playing on a LAN. Ive never tested it, but I have been told that it does indeed work.

Not that I would ever advocate such things of course. Oh no.

Really? It was my favorite since Red Alert. I was all about the fact infantry could hide in buildings and so on. The resource manangement left a little more to be desired (mountains of supplies in the middle of nowhere?). But having one thing to keep an eye on works so much better for me than two. I've always sucked at Warcraft because I can't get the proper balance in the first 5 minutes and end up getting overrun.

The trick with WC3 is lots of peons (or the equivalent). Lots and lots. Unless you're undead.

Like i said up there :above: , I always found with C&C gerenals that whoever was the americans would fill the place with spy drones and radar, rendering most of the good terrier-wrist units utterly useless. They would use their fairly good units to keep a rough balance against the chinese untill they had their half dozen special attack jobbers, at which point they would unleash them all at once on the chinese base, and finish it all off with a tank rush. silliness.

Mind you, ive not played the expansion, so they may have sorted the balancing out since then.

Y'know, I always see the whole "KEKEKEKEKE ^_^" thing pop up and I have no idea what the hell the joke is in that? It is a joke related to Star Craft or is that just a common phrase among Koreans or what?

Multiplayer support has ended for B&W1, wait for B&W2 in Octoberish if you want multiplayer.
