Orange Box question...

Post by eRabbit »

So, I'm finally pulling my thumb out and getting the orange box, since I now have a computer capable of anything other than Eve :P. My question is, since I already have HL2 installed will I need to reinstall the HL2 from the orange box or will I just be able to install Ep1, 2, TEEF and Portal without reinstalling HL2?

Seems like a trivial issue but since returning from Uni my family have decided to have an 8gb/month transfer limit on their broadband

You shouldn't need to re install, you can choose to not install HL2 after buying it again.

Also, 8GB/month! What kind of ISP would do such a ball-breaking package?

Tell me about it, my dad thought it would be genius as it saves him a bank breaking £7 a month and he doesn't use nearly that much. First day of my new laptop I hit 2gb of his monthly "allowance", added to the fact that Leeds Uni's halls network don't allow p2p connections (if it detects anything along those lines t cuts you off for 10 minutes) I'm mightily peaved as I was relying on Christmas break downloading spree.

Oh and cheers, good to know that after buying the game again I won't even install it :)

1) You just download the new games on Steam.
2) Make DVD backups of your games after you've downloaded them so you won't have to again.

oi, shitchops.

You live 15 mins away via car, I'll download the GCF's and we'll just transfer over the network if you bring your lappy.
