I'm only using them for the challenge points. Once I get them all I'll fuck the bloody things off.

Lollers, I'm liking my acog scoped barrat. But I'd rather use my red dot m16, which is even more of a long range win cannon/rail gun on hardcore, it's a bit ridiculous to be honest! :P

:above: Sniper Rifles:
Hardcore: G3 + ACOG
Vanilla: M14 + ACOG
Both: M16 + Red Dot
Indeed.
amblin wrote:As much as I don't like FF or FF reflect, hardcore is probably the most challenging mode to play (no shit I hear you say). And therefore the most fun.

Could we ban sniper rifles though? Spawning or running round a corner into some fucking sniper fire is just piss annoying, especially with some of the ninja bastards we have playing these days. (See also RPGs, jumping and Chicken.) :P
I might see if it's possible to write an anti-camping script.. though we need to wait for the tools.

:above: Sounds good. Even when I snipe I move every 30 seconds or so, it's just too easy to return fire on a sniper in this game, and when the gun is a g3/m16 or m14 the sniper is insta-toast unless he's rather fucking good.

No, that's a whole cake. Or it could be half a cake as you can't see the other side, although I doubt that was the original artist's intention.

G3 + Acog is fail, unless I'm not doing it right.

Red dot is much more effective with it.

The ACOG just takes some getting used to. It gives a bit of zoom and restricts your view, so if you're used to the red dot sight it'll feel more difficult to use at first.

I find that bullet drop magically appears when you fit a gun with an acog, could just be some weird mental thing on my part. Iirc I'm sure that the acog decreases accuracy whilst increasing range, so that may be how they coded it.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I gave it a few rounds, I've got no problem with it per se, I just found the red dotted g3 to be much more accurate at distance and refiring, however, there are occasions where you need the zoom of the acog.

No matter though, I've got period paint for my g3 now, just got the m14 and mp44 left before I get my golden AK.

Pffft, the mp44 is utter crap. I'd suggest using that 24/7 shipment server to get them.
