Hi.

Hi guys,

How are things for ya'll since Trinity? Are things all hustle and bustle with the holidays?

For me, work + family have been taking up most of my time but i've seen trinity in action on a friend's PC and I sometimes get the urge to come back.

/me is still experiencing the nasty parts of withdrawl from living without Eve. Still no replacement box that can handle it in sight.

The hustle and bustle and family are working nicely to fill the hole left by Eve though, it's just not the same though!

Glad to hear you're still alive though!

Out of interest, how has the game population been affected by Trinity? Assuming that a percentage of people would no longer be able to run the game, I'd imagine it has dropped by an amount. Has there been uproar from those who can't play any more?

You can still run the old graphics, you don't need to upgrade to the shinies.

Ah, clever. Kudos to CCP for not alienating half their userbase.

Hehe, they're not completely stupid :P

In fact, on any machines that actually have a GPU capable of running the new engine, performance has increased as a lot of the load has been shifted off the CPU. My framerate has almost doubled, which is nice.

fix'd.

Didn't work on mine, but then mine is technically *just* over the bar I think. However, I think I have noticed a framerate increase over the previous build with the old gfx on, so same graphics, better performance is also a nice pressie

Yea, old graphics with new engine runs better than before. New graphics with new engine run better than before if you can run the shinies.

There seems to be a lot of wierdness cropping up in chat windows, market overviews and some of my ship icons are being right screwy. Not sure whether this is due to the new gfx or old bugs coming back, cos I've seen them before.
