Mine is £55 about (when the red light is on anyway) = $113.41 (says google)

If you lot didn't go waving your tanks and aircraft carriers about it wouldn't be so much!

What does an American ask for at a 'gas station' when they actually want gas?

Pffft.

What about diesel? What's that called? My car takes about £60 worth of that.

Tractor fewl, I think

Diesel (and petrol) went up 25% here (Belgium) in the last 3-4 months. I work on a refinery and the tight gits won't give me a discount :P

Diesel is just called diesel. Few people have diesel cars though, and most gas stations not on interstate highways don't carry it.

After tasting Belgian beer it's about fourth on my list. If a lot of people speak English as well as Mr Johnson ('cos I don't speak Flemish) it jumps up to probably second. Or at least higher than England.

:above: Don't bother going into Leeming for a pint, it's a shithole with a pie factory and an expensive furniture store. Old black swan in Bedale if you're taking the missus out for a pint of coke, unless she's the type of lady that ignores her pregnancy and carries on with the tabs and lager, but I rather doubt that. Good pint of sheep in the waggon and horses (also bedale), proper old man pub though, you'll get stared at when you walk in. I'd not be surprised if you just keep your drinking to the naafi though, its VERY local around Leeming.*

The naafi's shit, it's hardly ever open so I've never been in. I drink at home mostly. I've been to the Black Swan I think, which is nice during the day but I'd not venture into Bedale at night (especially as some of the lads got into a bit of a scrap last night). I still want to go to the Black Sheep bistro though. Maybe now I've finished for Christmas.

:above: Tangents are the done thing, it wouldn't be a credible thread on gpu's if it didn't involve real ale and fights in small North Yorkshire towns.
