Léon

Wow, great movie. Jean Reno is probably one of the best actors ever. The opening hit was really awesome, as was the climactic ending.

Now go and watch Leon: version integrale (or the Uncut International Version). there's more of it, which makes it better.

that's science.

I guess it was more publicised in countries outside the US then. It's nice to discover an excellent film though. Oldman FTW!

Leon is a brilliant film. Reno and Oldman are both brilliant. Luc Besson is arguably the best thing ever to come out of France (other arguments including Kronenbourg, Brie and my car).

:above: :above: :above: :above: :above: :above: All of it, especially the  at deject never seeing this before, it's an immense film, I'm glad you've bettered your life with the watching of it deej.

Quotation of choice - 'no women no kids' said in an incredibly thick french accent.

Also, pantsu, although I do like besson's films, I think we all know that the best thing to come out of france *as far as movies go*, is in fact jean reno, he is fucking ace in this, and in ronin, which I think is another superb film, he's so damn french, but I don't hate him for it!

Oldman is always good too, interesting fact, Oldman's sister plays 'big mo' in eastenders.

In a similar vein, I also rather enjoyed Nikita. Not the US remake, of course.

There's lots of stuff considered classics that I haven't seen, mostly out of ignorance, but also partly out of apathy.

It's true, he's very good. Given the choice though I'd consider a director to have more impact on cinema than an actor, so I went for Besson.
