Console Tards

Post by MIkkyo »

I know that the chicken is playing a lot of 360 these days and my time is being spent more on the Wii and the DS than the PC. What say thee to a Console Tards section? help organise any Wi-fi/Live matches, I know a few Mario kart games have happened on the DS. I stillhave Dogpants CDC on my cartridge.

Being frank, with the exception of the handhelds, alot of the game are coming out multi platform anyway, seems a bit silly to seperate them when all they differ in is the controls generally.

A handheld section I could see working though.

This is true to a limited degree, there are still some important titles that are console only. For example I'm loving Mass Effect at the moment and there's no confirmation of a PC release yet.

Perhaps a vote is in order?

Back in the ole' days of 5punk, we had a consoles section. It didn't get used much.

As far as I know the scheduler still has an xbox live bit that might be handy.

otherwise, I'd just stick it in the other games section, I can't imagine a consoles section getting much use.

Yeah, don't think we need one, it fits into the general gaming forum well enough

Resurrect the Console Gaming forum, you know it makes sense :)

I'd even moderate it if you like. I can provide you with a resume of my work :P

Woo!

As soon as I've got a wireless router that doesn't fuck my connection up I'll resume multi-DS spazzing.

Meh, If we had one, I'd post in it*, but if we didn't and all the games just went in the 'other games' bit, I'd not be bothered. I think the same applies to any forum we suggest, it all kinda fits well now.

*obviously.

We did have one and no, it didn't get used that much.

Mainly though, I don't want to isolate console-only gamers, or suggest that we offer them very much. XFire and the board hold the community together, and while we've tried to integrate some console information into the profiles, etc - not much more is possible given the way the consoles work.

I see it as a major positive that we are able to have a multiplatform conversation area for discussing all games - on so many other forums they have to be kept totally separate to avoid endless VS. threads - and I continue to rely on the 5punkiness of members and the mods here to keep it that way.

Like the reviews section, there's a nice mix - even if some of us aren't current console owners, many of us have fond memories of games on previous systems, and that broad range of experience is good when examining new releases.

Why thank you Roman. You That was touching.

Also, why did I have to think about the word touching, it sounds better with a second t, as in toutching, but that scans wrong too, stupid english werdz.

I don't know, I still think we should have quarantined Chicken for a couple of months after he came back.
