Server problems.

just tried to get on cod4, and get booted off, with the following!!??!!

permanent ban issued on this game server for player
vegasmonkey
global punkbusetr guid ban 50a15a0a

have i offended someone, ive only just joined?

Yeah you must have offended punkbuster if he banned you from the server. Ask him why over xfire or something.

Nope, we don't. I expect Berk might have more success explaining what's happened once he's finished playing. I doubt anyone's pissed off Vegas - if Gunslinger isn't then nobody is, he's always pissed off when playing cod

Okay. You are not banned from our server, it's a punkbuster ban, which is beyond my control.

However, some google searching says that it might be an oddity, either due to using an iffy cd key (that has been banned) or some weird hardware/driver related quirk.

If you're using an iffy copy, I'd suggest backing up your cdkey and stats (guides here) and trying another key.

We generally alternate between outrageously insightful and being utter 'tards on TS. I for one suffer frequent brain farts, yet regard myself as an intelligent and well read individual. Einstein never fathomed the wearing of socks or the tying of shoe laces apparently, so there's hope for us all. We will undoubtedly mock you if you talk on TS, but as you will have noticed we mock each other too, the constant mocking helps you mature and grow as a person. Like Pete has said, mocking is a universal 5punky constant, we all mock each other and by christ it's a enjoyable and a good laugh.

Do what most people do, listen in on TS a bit first so you can hear the main offenders (I 100% guarantee you'll learn Berk's voice first), then just join in with the odd hello and goodnight and work your way up with swearing and general exclaimations from there.

I for one can't wait to get my mic back to rejoin in 5punky TS fun...and to insult Pete for being a cupcake at CoD

Also, Mr Johnson, Deject and Nickface don't have British accents either. I can understand some reluctance if English isn't your first language, although from your posts you couldn't tell if it isn't.

Like others have said you don't have to talk back, just listen. I don't do much talking but nearly always join TS, it adds a lot to the feeling that you're playing <s>with</s> against real people.

Surprisingly I'm way better at English while I'm drunk. Possible cause might be that I forget words in Hungarian. I think I'll stay with shyness until you catch me drunk enough that I would use my mic anyway
