Eternal Rising

Post by friznit »

For those still in 5punkorp, do you want to stay in the Alliance? I get the impression that anyone who doesn't has already voted with their feet and left already but was wondering if anyone still goes out in gangs with them at all? Let me know what you guys want to do.

Easy either way myself - I'm surfing on borrowed or mobile internets so can log on to browse/build/marketeer occasionally but undocking and certainly PvP is right out apart from weekends, which are pretty booked up with other stuff anyways. I think we'd lose more by leaving than staying at this point though.

I'm fine with staying, I want to get out there and do a bit of pvp but the bit of ply time I've had recently has been spent doing things with Akiki for NR, or for a real amount of isk.

I'm finding it harder to get a good 2-3 hour block to just sit and play with the whole family thing going on. I can just see me being 22j out somewhere and Brit needs a ride somewhere. Oh, and the fact that after a year of training I can finally use Akiki for something other then hauling.

She's now er, working up jump skills then the expensive skills for the rorq. Just not sure how far I need to take the fuel/calibration skills to get to the pos. Any other skills I should look into 1st? Suggestions are welcome as I never looked into caps before, but I just want to help with the whole jumping thing. I'd hate to have to use my blockade runner to get fuel out there if something like Friz and Dres' pc both die.... like now.

I vote to stay in 316. I've not been on much recently (well, there's news) but when I am, it's either for NR or to go PvPing with a 316 gang and there always seems to be one about.

For fuel runs, I now have a hauler alt (fatlips) in NR who can run a month of fuel in one go. If the fuel didn't manage to get from Chem to PB then we can set something up later this week, I just need a scout.

In other news I got the orange box and am currently discovering what all the cake is a lie and weighted cube nonsense was all about

To fly the rorq for jump hauling, you need Jump Cal 4, Jump Fuel Conservation as high as poss (3 or 4 is good) and be able to fit T2 Cap Power Flux and cap rechargers. It doesn't have a capital shield booster, tractor beam or anything else on there so no need to train those yet. It carries an Iteron 13™ (two 5's and a 3) so it helps if you can pilot those too. Then you need 5 cyno alts for the route with enough LO for at least 2 jumps and a resupply on board the rorq. A return trip uses approx 37k Oxygen Isotopes (~17mill isk at current market rates). Finally you will need to get someone in MC to drop the cyno jammer in VQE so you can jump to the POS. Did I mention that jump hauling is a pain? :P

only thing holding me up from capitals is adv space command V which i am training now, all the jump skill are 4 or 5 so i can help out with that soon. thanatos will be in play by christmas and rorq capable by new years. i'll also be done with school then so i will have more free time in between puppy tirades.

to be honest i don't care either way about the alliance aspect. seems only ones left who are on lately are silver, rab and dp. i personally enjoy the excitement of WT while running missions, it keeps you on your toes and prepares somewhat for low sec missions. all the people who can't hack WT have left (just razzing you all cause you left already - wimps). besides that is also why we have other alt corps to choose from.

it is somewhat disturbing seeing the lack of folks online in corp channel. i use to blame it on time zones but there is something else and its the lack of fresh blood. not fresh noobs but fresh blood in general. those that are on should try and merge with other corps, for example honzas rl friend has a corp honza left for has only 4 members, why don't they just join up with us.

I've left, can I not handle WTs? I'm just going to randomly pirate and make isk with my time, and I couldn't pirate in 5punk :(

You couldn't? Sounds like ER was doing alot of low sec pirating just a week or two ago. Afaik, peeratting is a go if that's your thing, unless it's an unspoken corp rule.

So the other day I was playing Eve and Rain was playing FFXI talking to our mutual friends when someone asks "where is Aki", to which Rain responds "playin Eve". "Holy shit" goes the cry as it turns out of one my old friends also plays Eve. So he logs in and I get a convo, I accept and notice right away that he's Orange. Uh oh... turns out he's in Foundation hehe.

So a few days go by and he sends me an evemail saying he does not picture me as the ebil piwat type and is now wanting me to join his corp bad. As it turns out I know 3 of the 20 members and they are all talking highly about me to their CEO for some unknown reason. So do we want a spy? :ninja:

narf, I am kinda entertaining the thought of going over, just cause they are old friends from FFXI and to see, idk, the other side of the tracks maybe. So I am torn, he really wants me to come play with him, as he's offered to take all of 5punk in or trying to get me to ask about leaving ER for Foundation, and ly loyalty to the corp.

So thoughts, should Aki go and see what the others are like? Should Aki just stay like he is now and go and gank his old FFXI friends? If I would happen to leave would Akiki be able to stay in NR as i'm not sure if MC and Foundation are nice-nice or not.

As I said, I'm just tossing the idea around cause my brain is going to fry if I just keep thinking about it. Damn me and my loyalties.

And after all that is said... is foundation or the corp CSS any good? I wouldn't be going from the best corp in eve* to a bottom of the barrel corp/alliance?

*may be a bit biased

P.S. My bud's ingame name is Orcryst, feel free to pod him and say Aki sent you. Bonus points if it's new mega he just got.**

**not really cause he'd come cry to me then

There's only one way to find out Aki...give it a whirl and see what you think. You'll not be the first to go from ER to FDN though. NR shouldn't be a problem: 'What they don't know can't hurt them", unless of course FDN starts actively targeting MC and friends.

And who said we were ebil piwats?!

Hehe, I don't even dicuss NR with Rain. Loose lips sink ships or something like that.
