set scr_[game type]_numlives 1
Set that to 0 in all the subtypes and you'll keep respawning as per usual. Which is what we want.

5/10 is also a good number.

I know this (i'm kinda good at this game server lark ;) )

That was mostly so people know what's possible so i don't get stupid questions. (it's also possible to mix and match game modes in a cycle)

I know you'd know it Berk, but I thought it pertinant to mention it as others have mentioned it a few times, so I went the whole hog and pointed it out. Mainly because I could, but also because people might not notice otherwise, which is what they asked for. So I did.

Also, quick play around with server commands in game, apparently using /kill to kill yourself is a cheat :lol:

I think in this game, only Headquarters and TDM has some potential, and perhaps Sabotage with 0 respawn timer. Over and out.

The respawn timer definately sucks. After BEEF and TEEF and (God forbid) CSS, not having to wait to respawn is so refreshing.

To be honest the only modes I've liked have been HQ and TDM (and I'm finding myself enjoying HQ more than TDM, since it's not just kill someone, die, respawn and repeat)

I'm thinking of dropping the HQ spawn timer from 60s to 40s.

That'll make it a spot less boring, but not fuck the mode up completely.

Dropping it to 40 would be great. I was waiting for the last ten seconds of the "reinforcements" timer just as the thing got destroyed far too many times the other night :x

also, someone please note what maps play well with HQ tonight, that way we can work out a good mixed up map cycle.

might be worth a go, but I'm not sure it'd work - too likely to be spawnraped.

at least with tdm you spawn with some others and with the enemy in the opposite corner.

I have to admit I quite liked the 'Domination' mode on Pipeline (with the correct pronunciation of course).
