Crazy off the wall ideas thread

Post by friznit »

Rydis' old account is going offline in a month, and I'm using it to train up a bunch of cyno alts in the meantime. Figured that if we pay for the account using ETC bought with corp isk, we could turn it into a joint cyno account that would cover the mid points of the NR cyno chain. Means anyone can use them then. (Slightly against the EULA).

Jack's costing up invention job for a hulk bpc. I reckon we could sell a few to corp mates at cost (~65mill) and the rest on the market for profits. If all goes well it may even break even. Fea can build them, and if we can scrape together enough datacores from our agents they'll be even cheaper.

Rorqual - figured the NR people could train up to fly it, and use mine. Make a bit more sense and give US TZ miners a boost. Just don't lose it :P

Bed time before I say anything really silly like....FACTION SHIPS FOR EVERYONE....oops

Oh yeah - corp cap ship dreads/carriers kept in the office for anyone to use when needed. Saves people buying their own dread that sits there doing nothing 90% of the time.

I'm not gonna say much about the cyno alt, as I've never been good at making isks and holding on to them for any period of time. But all that said, depending on price I could help.

Hulk mad, Hulk smash... can I have one please? :P

Rorq is a dream in a dream I do believe. At least for the next few months or so. Let me access you account then sure I'll fly it for us NA tzers. :P

Navy Mega, yes please

Damn, I guess I'm going to have to train for some kind of cap ship, aren't I. New poll, what cap should aki go for.... carrier sounds more fun then dread, but dread may be a bit shorter on the skills. At least I have BS5.

Makes sense just to use the same ship and jump it to wherever we're having a major mining op, assuming it can be protected and piloted by someone there (until we're rich enough to own more than one that is).

Aki - carriers are more fun. Dreads sit there doing nothing but jump hauling or POS shooting, so rarely get used.

I was assuming that between all the NR mining going on, and 5punkorps up-comming isk making drive, we would be. If not, no worries, I'll just sap the ore in GW until I can afford one myself

That said, Hulks for the NR miners would go a great deal further than a 5punkorp rorqual

Well, since there IS this crazy idea thread, and I ammm Dres.....

LP converting? Say some nice mission runner needs a ship. What if we sell them the ship w/ LP? The corp could get a supply of nice faction stuff, maybe implants or something, and convert that LP donation into an isk equivalent, or maybe even a BS or other ship if they need at corp rates.

Salvage to isk programme? Post a general price on all salvage bits, then use the bits to build rigs to sell at corp rates. The lower everyone agrees to sell their salvage to the corp, the cheaper we can build the rigs. I had originally thought of asking people to donate them and then the rigs would be free, but that wouldn't be equitable across all the play styles, so doing the isk conversion might solve that. (or perhaps have them be corp LP's or something?) Need some discussion there.

No. LP items are worth more then most ships themselves. I like the inspiration behind the idea but not itself. most good hardwires going to run 80-150mil easy. Faction guns, launchers, hardners, etc woth more then most ships. Only thing I would see this as acceptable would be +3 and lower implants and faction ammo. other then that not worth while to the runner.

i more or less have worked out arrangements with the more noober members to salvage while i kill, they either keep or sell back to me at a discount rate. As of now there is only 1 or 2 chaps that will do this. The idea is some what sound but what is reasonable, discount to corp all the time is not profitable and your doing it to make iskies. The newer guys do it to for that not rigs (skills). More people participate in this fashion it may work. Once again needs further discussion before it gets endorsement. I personally don't see the corp acquiring huge amounts of salvage, would only be able to handle a small group. Also the rigs people wants most, ie cargo rigs, are one of the hardest to acquire parts for. You need Angel BS for them, we don't live in C3-, 0.0 mission guys work for angels, and AE doesn't come around enough :(

overall they good just need tweaking

Dolly hath spoken. He's the chief mission dude, his call. I think the current system works quite well - if you need any faction stuff, ask DP and he can usually provide it at under market cost for you (depending how nice he's feeling at the time).

NR folks should easily be able to get all the parts needed for CCC and them type rigs. Armor rigs as well (resists, repair amount/cycle, etc).

Side not one the CCC, any ideas on T2 invention of them, they are still selling for omg amount of money.

Side note to rig above post: In all honesty who wants to salvage all the time, it's like cleaning your room, u don't want to but have too. For the newer folks its the best way to make isk b4 skills and standings allow other pve types. pvp is good but with corp supplied ships which is using iskies then making them. also when peoples skills do get better they move on to something else like the rest of us.

Also dres the rig thing as a corp op would work better i think but not individuals or small 2/3 man groups.

going back to work :(

What if we position GSC's in safespot around J8, and contract out passwords for them to MC peeps. They can drop loot there, we'll collect it and replace it with ammo. Ideas? Comments? General insults?
