Overheating and shutting down on me. I've hosed, hoovered, blown, sucked, tapped, brushed and run various diagnostics on it and without actually breaking into it, I can't work out what else to do.
Any ideas?

Check warranty status and report if still in warranty.
It's ancient. Next plan: buy a new one and flog this to some unsuspecting soul on eBaycheeseandham wrote:Check warranty status and report if still in warranty.

This! I had to take the fan-cover off my laptop and clean out all the gunk.buzzmong wrote:Stop being a wuss and take a hammer to it!
It ran a lot better, although unscrewing the case borked the threads so it wouldn't screw back together properly.
But if your laptop has build quality higher than, say, a Christmas cracker toy, you're probably fine.
