Portal is a Half life universe game/techdemo/story-filler, is fucking awesome.

Ep1 is half life 2: episode 1. average.
Ep2 is half life 2: episode 2. win.

Ep2 is the 2nd Half Life 2 expansion, the story continues from the original Half Life 2 through Episode 1 and the newly released Episode 2.

Portal is a short tech demoy type game from Valve (makers of above) sort of set in the Half Life universe, it's simple concept is you have a gun that makes entrance and exit holes on surfaces for you to run through. The game is a series of rooms to escape from, a first person puzzle game if you like.

Portal is the game that is keeping me up at night thinking about the physics engine tweaks they made.

Episode 1 I'm still half arsed playing
Episode 2 I wont play until I finish episode 1

I've ben pretty much showing people this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=if3Qv2tHyfA&eurl all day. It's the original teaser/advert for Portal, which (even without sound) explains the concept much better than I've been able to.

Most people then went off to buy it.

Pfft. Vaguely in a sorta, feel like I should give it a go because everyone is talking about it kinda way, but since neither HL2, STALKER nor Bioshock gripped my interest long enough for me to complete them I think I'm a lost cause.

Come to think of it, I don't believe I've completed an FPS since erm...Duke Nukem 3D I think.
