having had a play around, i kinda like this version, though imho, it's lacking:

a decent ct spawn sniper spot
sounds in the vent
other stuff.

so, berk's gonna do what berk does best :D

anyone have any other ideas for stuff the map needs?

I just played in pub for about 3 hours and I killed about 30 people by camping the ducts as a terrorist. serisously, I'd get about 3 of them each round and then I might get 2 more going for hostages. I FUCKING LOVE IT!

Woooo

Getting the interweb delivered to my new house today sometime so it should be full speed ahead when I get home tonight. Looking forward to shooting virtual people for many hours to come! New map sounds interesting, looking forward to getting my usual arse-kicking on it.

Think we're possibly going to have wireless network with the new house, is this bad for gaming? Can't do much about it if it is, but thought I'd ask.

Utter poo when it comes to ping repsonse.
Is your internet using the phone line, or is iot going through a cable?

So far every single person I know who has bought wireless kit, has in some way had a really bad problem with it, or has literally stuck it back in a box, and gone back to wires.

Well mine was a bloody nightmare to setup for gaming (internetty wise no problems, plug in off I went)

After a couple of weeks of tweaking settings, moving the router a fraction of an inch and plugging cables in I did get it sorted, and now currently enjoy wireless gaming, hurrah!!

Ping is a little bit higher but I don't notice any difference.

Ok, ta. Well when the wireless stuff all arrives (next week sometime I believe) I'll have a fiddle and see what its like. Its on a dedicated cable, so it should be reasonably good, but it will be shared with 3 others in the house :unimpressed: :crash:. It tends to be me who is the bandwidth whore tho. Love Bittorrent!

On wired network till then tho, so I'll compare pings before and after then.

I bet you are (assuming that you work in London that is). My Dad usually works in London and takes one of the tube lines affected, but he is currently on a secondment in Paris till Oct so its nice to know that hes safe. Lucky bugger was on one of the Paddington trains involved in that big crash a while back. Escaped unhurt from it, but saw some pretty unpleasant sites.

as far as pings go, as long as you're pretty close to your access point your pings should only go up about 5-10ms. I was getting sub-40ms pings most of last night on one server in particular over wireless. The big problem with wreless is setup and security. Make sure you enable WEP and for extra security, only allow known MAC addresses so only you and your buddies can ho on the AP.

my family sticks with wires apart from my mum but she only uses her laptop for things like shoping and checking her bank, me my bro and dad play games :D its good until we all decide to try and hog at the same time, plus my pc screws up really easy and cant get a proper connection to the routerm so i cant go on VAC servers cos it cant connect to them

Tee hee, I was playing in the 5punk server yesterday with Nemesis, we were playing against two clan guys (n.D.a I think) and for the first three or four rounds I'd run out of the second floor door as quickly as I could, only to meet both of the CTs at the foot of the steps and quickly kill them. They started calling me a camping n00b :(
