Fleet Replacement Programme (Updated)

Post by friznit »

Fleet Ships Loan Programme

Rules

:pointr: If you lose a ship in an officially sanctioned corp or alliance op, the corp will replace it for free.

:pointr: This currently only covers T1 ships. We will extend it to selected T2 ships in the future.

:pointr: Replacement ships will be corp insured.

:pointr: The pilot must be in 5punkorp

:pointr: The corp will not pay for rigs or T2 modules. There is a large selection of T1 and named modules in the corp hangar for you to use for free (please stick any loot you don't want in here for others to use as well).

:pointr: Dres is responsible for organising corp mining ops to build new ships.

:pointr: eRabbit will advise on ship types and has the final say on what constitutes an official corp op. Ask him if you're not sure.

Buying Into the Programme

You can 'buy in' to the programme at any time by either having a director corp insure you existing ship, or handing over the insurance payout to the corp when you die. You only need to do this once, because after that the new ships will be corp insured.

* New Rule *

You must post in this thread when you lose your ships stating what op you were on and who the FC was. If possible link to the KB as well.

OK. Some people are STILL struggling to understand this concept.

1. Corp loans you a battleship
2. Corp insures the battleship
3. You fly the battleship
4. You die
5. Insurance payout goes into corp wallet
6. Dres buys mins and builds a new battleship
7. Go to 1

All you need to do is buy the modules and ammo to fit the battleship.

You cannot sell it, the battleship belongs to the corp.

You may exchange it for a different ship in the corp hangar that is also corp insured.

If you sell it, give it away, repackage it or void the insurance in any way (including leaving it in your hangar for 3 months) you break the cycle and deny the corp the isk stealing isk from the corp (perhaps a little too dramatic :P )

Not sure if this is stated elsewhere, but I assume:

- you have to actually use it for corp ops
- if you destroy it accidentally on a mission or afk crash it into a roid, you're not covered

not clear on:

- it gets blown up by some nasty gankers when you're on the way to a corp op
- it's destroyed by someone we're at war with

If it dies with corp insurance active, corp gets insurance payout, but if your borowing PVP ships to go run missions with, you've got something mixed up with the point of the program.

Not missing the point, just confirming what I'd assumed:

These are loan ships for corp operations or PVP action against corp targets.

First line in the OP:
If you lose your ship in an officially sanctioned corp or alliance op, the corp will replace it for free
Missioning, ratting, running around solo chasing illusive WT, afking through empire etc are unlikely to be officially sanctioned corp ops. Anything that's on the main effort in line with alliance PvP activity is. If in doubt, ask me or (in the absence of eRabbit) Silver Light, who has a very similar programme in BSI.

The key point to note is that all these programmes are put in place with one aim:

to encourage and enable 5punkers with limited play time and limited isk to take part in corp and alliance PvP gangs without fear of draining their wallets.

If we can make it a sustainable programme then so much the better, hence it is predicated on the fact that all these ships will die within their insurance life span so we can build more at minimum net loss.
