Duel Booting

I feel like duel booting my Computer as well sometimes XP annoys the crap out of me and I only really use it for gaming. Anyone suggest some good duel booting software and a decent copy of Linux?

Ubuntu

It will even handle the dual booting for you.

It's how my laptop is set up right now. Most win.

Duel Booting, is that fighting with footwear?

Yeah, Ubuntu is the best one to try out. If the latest doesn't work (7.x) try 6.06 which is super compatible. I can't run 7.x on my machine due to incompatibility issues but 6.06 is fine.

Trying 7.04 at the minute, thanks to my super fast broadband it'll be here in like 10 minutes. Now all i need is a super fast PC so I don't have to wait 4 hours for a game of beef to start.

Edit: 7.04 didn't work so trying 6.06

yer ive got ubuntu/xp dual boot installed on my other pc aswell. is most win but can be a bit annoying if you have wireless internet. also it's very easy to set up as it has a dual boot partitioner thingy already packaged in with it.

I thing I really liked about Ubuntu (I dual boot it with XP on my laptop) is that you can try out a live CD first to see if you like it before you install. I had this grand scheme of dual booting, doing all my normal stuff in Linux and then doing ONLY games in XP, but I got lazy when it came to resetting my computer and ultimately went to 100% windows on my desktop. :S

I was actually impressed with how easily that Ubuntu found my laptops wireless stuff (not so much on other laptops I've tried to install it on), but it's come a long way.

Indeed, Ubuntu found and used wireless on my new laptop flawlessly (from the Live CD, I might add), whereas Fista didn't know what to do with it at all until I downloaded some beta drivers for it.

I nearly went Ubuntu-wards for a while, but I can't be doing without Photoshop (couldn't get it working in Wine).
