the wonderfully beautiful Mrs Mikkyo would like me to point out she had suggested halo 3 and I said I thought that was released last week so now extra shame on me.

lol, I do believe we're in the 21st century now KV :)

My wife can't put down the 360 at the moment, meanwhile a very old friend of mine spends much more time in WoW with his soon-to-be wife than he spends with her in Real Life.

I think that people like us -as a rule of thumb- if we don't find a girl that at the very least understands the concept of games & accepts them -if not plays them and enjoys them- are not going to be with us for long :)

As I mentioned on the disco board the other day, I recently donated my PS2 to a lady friend of mine - she loves platform/puzzle and racing games. She's also still got a Sega Saturn and SNES lying around.

At the moment I think she's addicted to Ratchet & Clank.

Mrs. Johnson only plays the sims and similar. she loves the wii though, mainly because she can't "just sit down and stare at a screen for hours on end" she gets the same thing when when she spends too much time in front of a computer.

oh, and tetris, she like that too.

My ex-wife hated me playing games on the PC.. hence the reason she is my ex-wife... current squeeze on the other hand doesn't play games but doesn't mind me playing. The way she sees it is she knows where I am, and what I am up to, and as long as I spend some "quality" time with her in RL she's happy. :)

I think the reason Nintendo is so successful with the DS and the Wii is because it has a large selection of 'Casual' Games i.e. games that you can pick up as easly as you can put down, games based mostly on gameplay, that is games that girls like to play.

Me and the Mrs still play Wii Bowling, she's after some more Resident Evil.

:above: The best chance this household has of getting a Wii is the missus. She also likes to whoop me at racing sims. hopefully I'll be able to persuade her that me buying her a Wii for xmas means she should buy us* a hdtv!

*me, obviously.
