Dunno if they're said so on the BUM forums yet, so if not, I'd imagine they want to keep it quiet for now

Yeah I have seen this coming, there has been a few clashes with the Hobos recently, and jibes going either way.

Why is it the hobos can't just get along with people on not be tards?

I notice they don't mention BUM once in that application.

I can sorta understand that I suppose.

JL is mature enough not to flame anyone.

As for Hobos, it's a small number of people who flame, it's just a shame that the more sensible element don't seem to try to rein them in a little. Perhaps they do and it's behind closed doors. Meh, sad to see JL go, I wish him and his associates well.

From James himself in reply to a mail I sent him:

Doesn't surprise me. We've not made a big secret of it.

And yeah, we'll keep in touch with our friends in that sense.

Cheers.

JL

edit: I've just realized, I've passed Bomber in posts! Yay, spammage level 4 must be complete!

Of side interest, 1 hr. of drone ds farming netted 11k Nocxium in VQE last night, possibly making it better than Pyrox as a source of the stuff out there. (Not to mention a ton of other stuff like zyd, morphite and such, 3 Domi loads of alloys off one DS ftw!)

Thank you all for your PM's. James and I have been chatting over this for a while. If you're wondering 'why not 5punkorp too?' then read my rather drama-ish announcement post and you'll begin to understand why. For the moment, given the way we operate and what we can offer, 5punkorp will benefit most by staying where we are. We simply cannot offer the same package as Lyrus, despite having similar capabilities and numbers - participation and activity is too low, particularly in PvP and capital capability. That said, if anyone wishes to jump ship and go with Lyrus, they'd have my full blessing and James would, I'm sure, be happy to take you.

Meanwhile, for those industry oreinted types in the corp, we have a lot of work to do. Over the coming months we will be building up our T1 bs production, T2 Components and explore invention opportunities in more depth. Between Jack, Miro, Fear, Fea and associated alts we have quite a powerful team and Dres will be heading it all up to bring us together and provide the direction.

I shall continue to review our position in game from time to time to ensure we are getting the most out of being where we are.

Edit: posting before reading. Need to catch up on the whole Hobo's thing

Not sure who flies these besides myself but soon if you need it they will be here. the most expensive parts got last night. will have the remaining parts tonight or tomorrow. :)

OK. I just caught up with events on the other forum. Dres started a new post but I asked him to pull it until I'd got my head round a few things. I'll begin a new thread ref. future of 5punkorp in a sec.

Dres - get together with Jack if you've not done so already. He and I have things set up for gallente invention (ship encryptor doohicky for turning covetors into hulks). Potential for some profits there although the market is totally flooded atm. I'm happy to donate the doohicky to the corp (about 400mill iirc).

Looks like we should concentrate on making this a corp effort, rather than an alliance one for the moment.

Reposted. (and working w/ Jack on one of the components now, he's researching the bpo as we speak). Do you have any of the others?

I have two full sets of reseached T2 Component BPO's in my possession. They technically belong to ISS but I'm sure we could borrow them. All the gallente ones are in use though, so we'd need to get our own.

I knew as soon as I started to do the Alliance website that it would be the death of it!

Please feel free to give me Caldari invention jobs, I'm not interested in profiting, I'll just run them and tell you what happened. As a NR corp job if possible. I don't have any decrpytors tho, but they're easy enough to acquire these days.
