It's 5punk/your browser, I've had this problem too, but didn't want to seem strange by asking.

Problems with topic updates

Post by HereComesPete »

Is anyone else having real trouble with ie or ff being inconsistent with showing up new posts/threads? Sometimes I'll jump on and read a few posts, lol at whatevers on the disco and see everything. Other times I'll not see a thing, case in point was when I set up my native alt in shartak 'goodaids', berk asked who it was, that never even showed up for me as a new thread, I didn't know he'd asked until it was mentioned in another new thread that I was reading. I keep thinking it's just my brain failing from all the pcp and draino, but a bit of admin confirmation and/or outright denial and condemnation of my mental state would be nice, kthnxbi.

The main forum seems fine, but the frontpage feed seems to be fairly random.

Cleared cookies, cache and such?

I'm getting the problem from my rig, the gf's lappy, and right now, I'm getting it from the gf's mother lappy, the inconsistency really does make it seem like its my brain.

It's fine for me, and in theory a problem like this should affect everybody. Any other symptoms other than sometimes showing no new posts?
Clearing cookies usually fixes problems like this.

I've had a problem for ages where (and this is only on my desktop) where if I click on the new post link it marks everything as read. The really weird thing is that it still happened after a full wipe and reinstall of Windows. I've just stopped using it on my desktop and click the newest post link instead, which usually works fine.
