OK so i had an engineer out today to fit a new Sky+ box in my room. I had to go up in the loft to run a cable through from where the phone line is and now i have itchiness on my arms and in my throat from contact with insulation material and I would like to know how to soother the irritation, i have already had a shower but i'm still itchy

ISTR that stuff is usually fibreglass.
I also seem to remember that a freezing fucking cold shower works nicely to get it out of skin.

This, and a nylon green brillo-ish pad used gently with a fuck ton of soap.

some of it was fibre glass padding, and some of it was just loose foam stuff, dull green colour, which i think is what i've inhaled

I don't think the weird foamy stuff is that nasty, I've slept on it more than a few times.
I'd suspect it was the fibreglass mostly, it's fucking horrible stuff to work with.

Inhale some more to make sure that's what's causing the problem.

This shit is pretty nasty, I used to know an electrician who had a collapsed lung because he inhaled too much in one sitting. Although to be fair if you did take eions advice then im sure you deserve it.
Also cold shower is correct, warm water and the barbs will stick into you for a good long time.

Internet forum advice FTW!
Cold water
Wear a mask and protective gear in future.
Wash your working clothes separated from your normal clothes, otherwise glass dust could come into your normal clothes.
I believe Google is your friend. as ever...

I suspect that would be really, really painful. given all the glass is gonna be making little holes and soreness, I suspect pouring mint and alcohol down there will probably make pain

But if you do do that, please have the decency to get someone to video it and upload it to youtube.
