SC2 and 40k* are the ones I legit have, and I'm probably possibly willing to invest in buying the AoEs.
I also wanted to try archon/coop in SC2 as I never got around to those.
*some of 40k, only DC and WA

Re: Heroes of the Storm
In case you've missed it: Cho'gall is out. It's a two player hero, only one of the players need to own it. Cho is a tanky warrior type of thing who controls the hero, while Gall is a pretty fucking robust damage dealer that cannot move the hero. Each head has two individual abilities, one ability th...

Re: Heroes of the Storm
Appears out of nowhere.
I've been playing this all week, this is very fun, much less WHAT DO I BUY WHAT DO I SKILL than DotA. I'd love to friday/saturday this sometime.

Re: 5punky omgnoob's guide to Dota 2
A few points of my own to chip in on this. Laning Phase (from Level 1 until the lanes break up) Laning phase is not primarily about killing the opposing team or grinding down that creep wave into dust. It's about sustaining a steady income of cash and XP until you feel you can comfortably take care ...

Re: Mid-week gaming
Apparently Punkbuster stopped supporting CoD4 at the beginning of the year, so that's great. Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ddbab4gi7bbdc0r/COD4_pbfiles2014.rar And unzip the lot to your /cod4/pb/ folder. Apparently that should help. Edit Appears to be for manual PB installations....

Re: New season talk type thread thing.
The Blacklist : Seems to be a love or hate kind of thing among critics. In my experience, it's pretty good, especially with James Spader. Could be because I liked Boston Legal, who knows. Arrow : Yes, it's a superhero thing. Also, the first season was at least a bit too cheesy, but it got its shit ...

My *usual* wednesdays and thursdays are more or less unavailable. However, I'm up for something today. (Although my repertoire of actually purchased games since 2010 is relatively small.)

A lot of you anticipate DotA2, but in reality, it will be a lot more skill-oriented than LoL. I don't imagine you'll enjoy it.

DotA2 ... not having an entire community of ... elitest cunts You're not serious are you? Anyway, if anyone decides to try or stick with HoN, I can provide some insight into how stuff works, so feel free to ask away. I can't really help with LoL as I've only had a short and disappointing encounter ...

Re: League of BellEnds
LoL is bad. HoN is good. I'm not qualified to argue either way, but I've heard the HoN community is less forgiving and more elitist. Your comment isn't convincing me otherwise. You are completely right here, I don't dispute that. LoL is a more of a casual gamer's DotA, there's a lot less skill invo...

Re: Stolen from RPS: Gaming Talent
For me, it's strategy games - games where victory depends upon constantly thinking ahead and supreme awareness of information instead of split-second reflexes. I also excel at stealth, a notable example being spy on TF2. And oddly, I turned out to be quite excellent at Space Station 13, a game which...

Re: Minecraft
You know, with being able to crouch and not walk off edges, building stuff high in the sky isn't as frightening or as deadly as before. I've never quite worked out how to do that and built all my stuff using the peep-over-and-occasionally-fall-off method, all the while feeling slightly queasy. Hold...

I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a server password, but I could well be wrong. I'm pretty sure the password was the usual when you were hosting. After losing about 3 starting shelters and all my health to hunger, this is my trickiest Minecraft yet. A word of warning to the owner of the pani...

I like the idea of them flailing wildly for the couple of seconds it takes for the lava to gloop down.

Pistons don't squish people.
We could have a lava drop system though:
W for wall, P for piston, T for piston arm, L for lava.

I'm only missing a Detect Magic and I'm fairly sure some of the others have that so I don't mind not getting a full night's sleep.
