Also if you bought any of the expansion or booster packs, you're an idiot. I mean um.. don't reinstall them straight away! They've caused quite a few of the crash-to-desktop problems.

2142 runs on the same engine as BF2 (Refractor 3 I believe, which itself is an upgrade from BF1942's Refractor 2). So essentially it will behave in the same way as BF2, but with a few minor tweaks (and bug fixes I hope). When I talked with DICE (*cough* name drop much? 8)), they explained that 2142 ...
