The Gallente Federation encompasses several races, the Gallenteans the largest by far. The Federation is democratic and very liberal in a world full of dictators and oligarchies. The Caldari State was once part of the Federation, but a severe dispute resulted in their departure and a long war between the Gallente Federation and the Caldari State. The Gallenteans are the masters of pleasure and entertainment and their rich trade empire has given the world many of its most glorious and extravagant sights.

Avec le gaarleek et du van, les fransaize will ruuule ze yuniverse!

Vive la difference!

Seriously, though, we French are zee nutz. Heavy on drones and hybrid guns (Rails ans blasters) and light on missiles and known to be tough to fit without the requisite skills, the Gallente often consider themselves to be playing EVE on "hard" compared to Minnie and (especially) Caldari (missile spamming couch taters) but put the effort in and these most beautifully crafted ships will serve you well.

Frigates

Atron

Imicus

Incursus

Author: Buzzmong/eRabbit

Use: Long Range Tackler

Highs: 3x 125mm small railguns

Mids: 1x Named MWD, 1x Best Named Web possible (or cap charger if you've got others webbing or a hug in the mix so you don't have to go into nosf range), 1x 20km scram (t2 is better or faction for the added range)

Lows: 1xMAPC, 1xSmall Rep/overdrive/nanofiber/istab/cap thingie

Author: Buzzmong/eRabbit

Use: Short Range Tackler

Highs: 3x Named small Ion cannons with AM

Mids: 1xMWD, 1xWeb, 1x7.5km scram (20km if it'll fit nicely and you won't be dropped on the target everytime)

Lows: 1xMAPC, 1xSmall Rep

Maulus

Navitas

The Navitas is an excellent mining frigate. It's highly specialized systems increase it's yield per mining cycle. With two Mining Laser II's, it is an ideal ship for a budding miner to earn isk in while they work toward a dedicated mining barge. I would suggest using it to mine the highest value minerals you can find in a .8-1.0 system, (high enough security to avoid rats) and save up for the skills and a bpc for a covetor. While you train the skills, you'll have enough time to mine for the minerals that you can mine, and earn some isk to buy what you can't.

Tristan

The Tristan is a fun little frig that looks like a tick.

It is a tough little bugger though, and can fit some launchy things.

Of note on launchy things, you need skills for the launcher, and the ammo, kinda depressing when you want to fly the thing, you finally get the launchers on it, and find you can't load the ammo. But fun for a change of pace.

Did I mention it reminds me of a tick?

Interceptors

Ares

poot zomesing eer

Taranis

Author: Lee

Use: Small gang / Solo PvP

Notes: Does around 180dps and goes around 4.5km/s. The disruptor, web and guns are infinitely sustainable with the nos on.

The fit:

High: 3x Light Ion Blaster IIs with federation navy antimatter ammo, small nos

Mid: 1mn MWD II, 20/24km scram, web

Low: Small rep II, micro aux power core, overdrive II

Dronebay: 2x hobgoblin II

Author: Bomber

Use: Small gang / Fleet PvP

Notes: This setup will get you to 6k mps without implants and will do 800+ with the MWD off. Drop in price of T2 mods since invention makes it much more affordable too. If you don't need the DPS (fleet) consider dropping the blasters for 1 or 2 x small neut (depending on what grid you have left) and 2x small nos

The fit:

High: 3x Light electron IIs with null ammo

Mid: T2 1mn MWD, X5 Stasis Web, 7.5km Warp Scrambler

Low: 3x T2 overdrives

Dronebay: something logistic

Assault Frigates

Enyo

Author: Bomber

Role: Small gang PvP / fleet point defense

Notes: hits consistently well from 2k up to 45k once you have the requisite ammo loaded. Missile launcher is there for want of something better, tbh, especially as my missile skills are teh lose. I think if you train the missile range skills up enough, you could get a T2 Rocket launcher hitting at 10k, which would complement the 125s nicely. The fit calls out an AB, but MWD should fit. That said, I haven't tested the effect on cap but I expect it would not be good

The Fit:

His: 4x 125mm rails 1x missile launcher

Mids: MWD 20k scram or cap recharger

Lows: dmg ctrl, energ expl, Cap charger, SARII

Ishkur

poot zomesing eer

Covert Ops

Helios

Nemesis

Destoyers

Catalyst

Author: Bomber

Use: Looting mission levels

Notes: Basically the catalyst is a bit pants. Rails use way too much cap to run 8 of them in pvp and there are better dessies out there. If you are a gallente pilot though, it's not all bad news for the humble catalyst. It's aces for looting wrecks in L3+ missions

The fit:

High: 4x tractor beam, 4x salvager

Mid: 1mn MWD, cap recharger II

Low: 3xcargo expanders

Interdictors

Eris

Cruisers

Celestis

Author; Bomber

Use; Fleet support

Notes; Celestis gets a bonus to sensor dampening, so that's what this fit is for. It is a fleet role with a heavy passive tank. This will give you an extra cycle on the dampeners when you get called primary, but whatever tank you fit; once you get called primary, you are leaving in a pod so concentrate on staying in the fight and dealing damage or denial as long as you can. I was using a fit with MAR and 800mm plate instead but found that I couldn't run the MAR long enough to make a difference once I started taking damage anyway.

The fit;

HIS; 3x light neut blasters, Heavy launcher

MIDS; web/scram and 3 x Sensor Dampeners. Swap web or scramfor Sens boost if you want

LOWS; dmg ctrl, Cap relay, 1600mm plate

Exequror

Guardian-Vexor

haha yeah right, good luck, there's like 3 in game :P

Thorax

Author; Bomber (although credit to BD, it's his fit)

Use; small gang / Solo PvP

Notes; I am teh shit at PvP so don't come crying to me when you get blown up, mkay?. This fit, however, comes from the self declared legend Butter Dog and while his ego may be bigger than the Titan he aspires to, he does seem to know a thing or 2 about ship fitting. The one downer about this fit is it is pricey (about 11M loss after insurance, depending on the dmg ctrl and EANM you choose) so don't fly it unless you can afford to lose it.

The fit;

High: 5 Light Neutron Blaster II's with Void ammo

Mid: 10mn MWD, Stasis Web, Warp Scrambler

Low: 1600mm Tungsten Plate, Armor Exp Hard, EANM, Dmg Cntrl, MAR

Dronebay: 5 Valkerie

Author: Lee

Use: Small gang / Solo PvP

Notes: I think its sacrilege fitting light neutrons on a thorax, waste of a bonus :P I prefer this, I fought a thorax with a similar setup to bombers once in it and almost had him until his friend in a jaguar warped in and jammed me pre-revelations.

The fit:

High: 5x Heavy electron blaster IIs with antimatter

Mid: 10mn MWD, Stasis Web, 20km Warp Scrambler

Low: Med rep II, damage control, energized adaptive nano membrane, 800mm plate, mag stab.

Dronebay: 5x hammerheads

Vexor

The Vexor is notably the first in the "Drone Boat" line. It's 75 m3 drone bay allows for a nice mix of 5 medium and 5 light drones, (or 3 heavies, should you be so inclined). It's capabilities are really based upon your skills. If you have decent drone skills, you can easily rat in low sec in a Vexor, without having to risk an overly expensive ship. I fit my ratting boat with looting gear, some weapon just to aggro the rats, cap recharge, an AB, a bit of tank, and a repper. (Sorry, writing this after hours at work, but can't look at Eve-O to look at how many slots a Vex has to suggest a complete fit). If you should have a drone damaged, I'd also suggest a Armor repper drone to heal them. A small takes only 5m3 of the drone bay, and it saves you flying back for more drones. I used to rat with this until my hold was full, fly to a Giant Secure Containe in a SafeSpot, rinse, and repeat. Then when I had enough cans full, I'd just fly in with an Iteron to pick them up. If you rat in a system with enough belts, you'll add up a supply of loot fairly fast.

One of the biggest tips for ratting like this, is knowing your drone control range. If you fly away from your target quickly enough, and orbit outside their range, they can't hit you, while your drones CAN hit them. Of course, if your drone control range is short, you can fit a Drone Control Augmentor, (hi slot antennae for drones) that increases your range until your skills grow in proper.

A Vexor could be fitted for small-scale pvp, but I'll test that out before I put a fit on here!

Use: Small gang / Solo PvP

Notes: The vex is ace, only age-old problems with drone control and lag hold it back. With the drone control mod fitted you can fly the drones out to 65km, more if you have EW drones trained up. If your quarry gets in close, nothing smaller than a BC can take 4 med NOS. Also cheap, although the drones will cost you as much as the boat. If you are concerned about DPS from a drone boat, I sugggest you give it a try. You need quite a lot of SP in gunnery to match the output from 5 T2 med drones especially when multiplied by the Vexor's 10% per level drone damage bonus.

The fit:

High: 4xMed Nos and a drone control Unit

Mid: 2x web, scram

Low: Armour tank

Dronebay: 5x med drones (T2), mix damage types + 5 x Warrior IIs (coz they catch inties)

Recon Ships

Arazu

Author: eRabbit

Use:

Notes: Can lock frigs before they warp, scramble from 43km away with Recons 4 and can make any ship not see past their own nose It needs Recons 4 to fit because of the CPU usage of the cloak, but you should have Recons 4 before using an Arazu anyway, otherwise you've got a gimped fitting and can't scramble as far as you should.

The Fit:

High: 3x 200mm II Rails, 1x Cov Ops Cloak

Mid: 1x Sensor Booster II, 2x Warp Disruptor II, 3x Remote Sensor Dampener II

Low: 1x Medium Armour Reparier II, 1x Explosive Hardener II, 1x Damage Control II, 1x Best Named Capacitor Power Relay

Rig: Sensor Resolution

Lachesis

Oneiros

Battlecruiser

Brutix

Myrmidon

Author: Lee

Use: Small gang / Solo PvP

Notes: This is an uber gank setup, it does around 800dps and if you fit armour rep amount rigs its rep works almost aswell as a Lar II.

The fit:

High: 6x Heavy Ion blaster IIs with federation navy antimatter ammo

Mid: 10mn MWD, 20km Warp Scrambler, web, med cap booster with 800s, sensor booster

Low: Medium armor rep II, dc II, eanm II, 2x mag stab II

Dronebay: 5x ogre IIs

Rigs: 3x auxiliary nano pump

Dominix

Author; Bomber

Use; Ratting 0.0

Notes; This will tank pretty much any belt spawn so long as you have good cap skills and named cap chargers in the mids. I ran with 3x FB-10 and 2x Eutectics. I rekon you could drop one for an AB or drone mod if you use (ie can afford) T2 cap chargers. Carry a range of ammo for the guns to suit range (Lead will give you about 30km opt) but the majority of your damage output will come from your drones.

The Fit;

HIS; 4x 250mm dual rails, 1xTractor beam, 1x Salvager

MIDS; 5x Cap charger mods

LOWS; 1x LARII, 6x hardeners matched to the damage type you're ratting.

Drones; T2 Meds matched to the damage type you're ratting, T2 heavies if you have the skills

Author; Dres

Use; Level 4 missions

Notes; This is a setup I've used for quite a few missions and reflects some advice from Eve-O

The Fit;

HIS; 1x Medium raill(whichever flavor), 2xTractor beam, 2x Salvager 1x drone link augmentor (for drone control distance)

MIDS; 4x Cap charger II's (if you've the skills, they're very cheap nowadays) and either an Omnidirectional Tracking Link, or Drone Navigation whatzit for more speed. Depends on if the mission will have more large ships, or medium/smalls. If more medium/small, you'll be using T2 mediums more, if more large, you'll be using more sentries. Use the Omnidirectional tracking link for sentries, navigation for mediums.

LOWS; 1x LARII, and one of the following--> (2 each active hardeners [II's if you can afford] of the two types of damage you're expecting from the mission, an Energized Adaptive Nanofiber Membrane II, and a Damage Control II) OR (1 each active hardeners [II's if you can afford] of the two types of damage you're expecting from the mission, an Energized Adaptive Nanofiber Membrane II, and a Damage Control II and two 1600mm plates (usually whatever you've looted, but some flavors have bonuses like less mass, others have more armor) The first fit is for more resistance, the second is for the missions that auto-aggro and buys you time to get aligned and draw out the enemy force. If you can't damage them enough that you can tank it, you'll be able to spread your enemy out enough so that when you return, their initial damage per second will be reduced while you take more of them out. If you fly into an area of the mission that you're not auto-aggro'd by everyone, fly away from a couple of the blobs and only aggro one at a time and use the setup with just hardeners, no plates. You'll be more agile and able to maneuver.

Drones; T2 Meds matched to the damage type you're ratting, T2 heavies if you have the skills, regular if not, and sentries to match the damage you need as well. I also include a large or medium armor repper drone in case my drones take a little damage. The Domi drone bay can carry it all!

Rigs;Capacitor recharge rigs are nice to open up some of the medium slots on your fit. Right now I have one cap recharge rig, and my cap never falls below 50% while running my tank. A couple more and you could probably add an AB or fit both the Omnidirectional Tracking and Drone Navigation.

My method is roughly comparable to one that was shown me on Eve-O, and the sentry portion was learned from Akiakiu. Primarily, when I fly into a mission, I target the group closest to me, and fly away to the edge of my range. (stock normal Domi is 70k) I then fire on them one shot w/ my rail, just to get aggro. Once that group has full aggro'd I wait to see what they react with. If the drones are coming fastest, I attack them first, as they're most likely to web/ warp scramble me and make escape impossible. How I go about it depends on how fast they're closing, and the number of them. If it's less than 20, and they're not on top of me in less than a minute, I stop and toss out the sentries. Sentry drones concentrated on approaching frigs insta-pop them. The first few times I did this I thought I lost lock on them until I noticed the wrecks on the overview. I work up the ladder, taking out frigs, then cruisers/battlecruisers, with BS's last. The reason I do it like this is whittling down their fleet the fastest possible. Every ship still alive is doing you damage. Reducing that number reduces their damage. Some people prefer the opposite, taking out the large damage BS's first, but with the drones you don't have amazing Damage per second, but you do have flexibility. Once any small ships are within 10k or so, pull in the sentries and launch the mediums. Once I have moving drones in place, I can decide whether I want to start looting, or moving away from the blob, depends on it's size and how well I'm tanking. While moving away from the blob, try to fly in a straight line, as you'll find cleaning up loot easier as you fly back toward the next group to aggro them. Depending on where you're missioning, you may get more medium ammo for your rail, so you might not need to carry any ammo on your mission at all. Try to keep all the valuable loot, and watch out for metal scraps, they come with the salvage, and take up alot of your hold. I end up melting most of my loot to make stuff, but some nice named items show up, so don't melt indiscriminately!

For multiple room missions, it's a good idea to drop the salvagers and tractors for the best range rails you can fit, and all the ammo you can carry. Otherwise you'll keep having to dump goodies that you could otherwise keep. Watch your time though, and take breaks every hour to clean up wrecks lest you lose them! (fly back to nearest station, refit for looting (3 ea salvage/tractor, and AB, and a cargo expander or 7 makes it pretty good at carrying ALOT of loot, even the scrap metal which does melt down)).

Hyperion

Author: Lee

Use: Small gang / Solo PvP

Notes: This setup provides a good balance between gank and tank. It does 900-1000dps with good skills and can tank over 600dps.

The fit:

High: 8x Ion blaster cannon IIs with federation navy antimatter

Mid: 100mn MWD, Stasis Web, 20km Warp Scrambler, 2x med cap boosters with 800s

Low: 2x Large armor rep IIs, damage control II, energized adaptive nano membrane II, 2x mag stab II

Dronebay: 7x hammerheads, 6x hobgoblins

Rigs: anti-explosive pump, 2x auxiliary nano pump

Megathron

Author: Bomber

Use: Fleet long range damage dealer

Notes: The focus here is on range and DPS. For fleet sniping you'll need a range of at least 150km. No tank as you should be aligned and up to speed while engaging, ready to warp out the minute you see red flashies. This is another fit from BD, but this time modified to help warp out. This is an expensive fit, espectally if you go with best named or T2 guns. Make sure you have 100m spare to cover the loss when that happens

The Fit:

Highs: 7 x 425mm rails (T2 if you can fit them, best named you can afford if you can't), Neutralizer - This will flatten any tacklers that venture near

Mids: 3 x Sensor Booster II, 1 x Tracking Computer II

Lows: 2 x Tracking Enhancer II, 3 x Magnetic Field Stabaliser II, 2 x i-stab

Drones: 5 x warrior IIs

Author: Lee

Use: Medium Gang

Notes: This Megathron setup does around 1000DPS at decent range for medium sized gangs while providing an effective armour hp of over 100k allowing you to survive longer than using an active tank in a gang v gang situation.

The Fit:

Highs: 7x Neutron blaster cannon IIs with null (range)/federation navy antimatter (damage)

Mids: Quad LiF 100mn MWD, J5/faint 20km Warp Scrambler, X5/fleeting web, heavy cap booster II with 800s

Lows: IFFA Damage control, 2x energized adaptive nano membrane II, 2x 1600mm rolled tungsten plates, 2x mag stab IIs

Drones: 5x ogres

Rigs: 3x trimark armour pumps

Implants: Hardwiring - Zainou 'Gnome' KZA1000 (3% turret cpu use reduction)

Author: BUM

Use: Close Range

The Fit:

Highs: 7 x Ion Cannons with Null (has to be T2 guns/ammo for the range)

Mids: MWD - scram - web - injector (can drop scram and web in gangs, adding SB II's)

Lows: LAR II - 1600 plate - 2 x EANM II - 1 x IFFA - 2 x Mag Stab II

Drones: 5 X Ogres/Berserkers OR 4 + 5 Warrior II's if in a gang without anti-tacklers
