Spritey: Disgaea 3 Hitting PS3
Gifu, Japan-based developer Nippon Ichi has announced its bringing role-playing-game
Makai Senki Disgaea 3 to the
PLAYSTATION 3. The two previous entries in the series appeared on the
PlayStation 2 — with
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness also getting a
PSP airing. The Nippon Ichi press release contains two screenshots of
Disgaea 3, a work in-progress. Oddly, they are dated 2008. The release mentions that the "simulation RPG" will be out "this winter" in Japan for ¥7,140 (US $59). Hit the jump for another screenie.

Doesnt look to be pushing the much vaunted graphics chip much, if at all. Not that it looks ugly, just that it looks ps2/xbox, however, if its shifts some ps3's then sony wont mind, still cunts though.

The fact that it looks like a PS2 game is fucking lame. I'd be extremely pissed if I bought a $600 console to play games that would look the same on a $150 one. That's just the developers being lazy.

The more I look at these piccies, the more I think, is that the psp version? Because if that IS ps3, it looks like a pile of wank and its hellish lazy coding. Don't get me wrong Im not a ps3 hater, I am at the moment severely pissed with sony, but the box itself has great potential.
If 'resistance:fall of man' is any bit as good as the video's suggest then it will sell the console, however halo 3 will see a highly polished franchise, backed by a streamlined online system, with a massive fanbase, unfortunately sony will undoubtedly be arrogant and ignore this and release big games at the same time, and then wonder why their still not selling shitloads of consoles.
