BF2 Demo hacks.

No Timelimit
Code: Select all
Open with notepad
c:\Program Files\Battlefield 2 Standalone Demo Server\mods\bf2\python\game\gamemodes\gpm_cq.py
Change
host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)
To
#host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)
Thats all there is to it
delete
demo_bf2legal.bik
demo_bf2release.bik
demo_demolegaltext.bik
demo_locknload.bik
dice.bik
ea.bik
Nvidia_logo.bik
from Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Movies
Unlock all weapons (singleplayer only)
Code: Select all
*works in single player and lan games, will work online *IF* the server hosting *AND* all the clients have the same hacked python file.
navigate to:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\python\bf2\stats
Open the file unlocks.py with notepad
find the line:
defaultUnlocks = [0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0]
change to:
defaultUnlocks = [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1]
All of these found around the interweb or worked out :D

Cocking game doesnt accept a Geforce 4 as a graphic card, thus elimates me from ever being able to buy it.. *Scowl*

Great find, I'm definatly getting rid of those pissing videos.
I've also seen servers with a 64 player limit.. Thought the demo was only supposed to be 16 maxium.

How do you unlock the weapons on multiplayer? If its via ranks then thats a bit crap or is just due to this being a demo?

i think in multiplayer you unlock over time/skill (but not in the demo) and the hack only seems to work with singleplayer

Better not be by skill, its a bit random how well i do on bf2 and i tend to suicide a lot :D

do i need to unpack some of those files or something?

they should just be there, either as .bik or with no extension shown

What type of GF4? I have a couple of different ones, some being inferior to my GF3.

128 MB video card supporting 1.4 shaders (ATI Radeon 8500 / NVIDIA FX 5700 or above)

ok, explain this;
The FX 5200, 5600 and 5800 were announced april 2003.
The Radeon 9700 was announced july 2002.
My Radeon 9700 pro still tears the balls off of an FX5600* (usually twice as fast in THG tests)
Any questions?
*I chose the 5600 since it's the card in question, and nv fanboys agree the 5200 sucked.
