Call To Arms (CTA): What it means

A corp or alliance Call To Arms is a compulsory op used in extreme cases where we need pilots urgently in order to achieve a special mission. Examples might include POS repping, station defence or a critical freighter move. Unlike a normal op, where you can opt out if you want, there is no option during a CTA:

IF YOU ARE ONLINE YOU MUST BE ON THE OP

CTA's will be posted in the Eve 0.0 forum with as much advance notice as possible.

YOU MUST REPLY WITH YOUR AVAILABILITY IN THE CTA THREAD

This allows the FC to plan critical ops. Even if you're not going to be online, you need to let the FC know. This is important.

CTA's are posted rarely because they can be very disruptive, but when they happen it's vital that you turn up or let us know that you're definitely not going to be there. Failure to do either results in an angry Mummy :)

Just a quick question. does "ONLINE" as in "if you are online" mean playing eve and idling, or just on the internet in general?

Online = playing Eve. If you're playing something else, you may get XFire spammed by an irate wabbit, but but short of coming round your house and bumming you into submission, there's not alot we can do :P
