Yay! I missed this.
Game says Army of Two is delayed. I'm looking forward to the 360 version for coop loveliness.
The Darkness looks interesting. And maybe Overlord.

Overlord on 360 I think, the "sweep the minions" control feels like it would would best with a joypad. The demo really sold it to me - great voices and characters, and the chance to incinerate a field full of hobbits.
The Darkness has been advertised a lot, but I haven't actually seen what sort of game it is, only pictures of the cover plastered everywhere. I would guess at a third-person action adventure similar to Devil May Cry, in which case, I'm not that excited about it.

Ive been playing Overlord quite a bit over the last couple of days, and it works quite nicely with the mouse.
My only gripe with the game is that I dont feel particularly evil when im given missions such as "get our food back please" and "go and get my luggage". I feel i should be given a "NO! *death-grip*" option. Ordering a gang of lunatic goblins around is very amusing though, especially with their cackling and wearing dead rats on their heads as helmets.
"FOR MEEEEEEEE! For you."

Actually, The Darkness is a horror FPS. It's different from other FPS in that you have tentacle things which do stuff. You probably need to read a review if you want something more useful.

If anything, that makes me less interested. I've never got on with Console FPS games, I thought Gears of War was a bit meh - I haven't played it much but it was more a repetitive slog than actually fun.
I'll still look at The Darkness though, but it could use a demo.

Played Lost Planet demo on steam and I thought it looked rather pretty, think gears of war with snow. Only gripe was with the "collecting heat off dead bodies" which forced you to move at pace and if you got stuck you were knackered, as your health slowly disappears from the "extreme" temperature. If you like third person shooters then you will probably enjoy this, and for £17.99... Even I am very tempted

Makes me think of The Thing. Not that similar, but a very tense horror FPS in the cold. Spoiled by a defender mission I couldn't be arsed getting past.
Film's still fucking brilliant though.

So, it's a game where teabagging is not only encouraged, but a necessary part of the game?
I'd be sold if I had a 360.

That lost planet looked alright, but the floaty lumps of 'heat' you got, as well as the big shitty weapon icons could be so much better. You got a 360? You got gears of war? Dont waste money on this. Pc wise its cheaper price would sway me toward buying it. On a sidenote, I've been looking forward to Huxley for ages
http://www.huxleygame.com because its like Gears of War, but mmo, but now its sounds shockingly like its going to be bad because the beta is happening in asia and a small part of America, even though its made by a German studio.
Also, Driver, parallel lines on the pc? Isnt that a ps2 game thats about 3 years old or something? And Wii res4 sounds win, I watched a short clip of some bloke doing a reaction cutscene, and he was bogling like he was on disco-biscuits in hs attempt to avoid a big ogre thing.

That's Driv3r, which sucked very hard. Driver PL came out last year and while being a GTA-a-like is a decent game, probably the best of the series and the dual time-line story 1978/2006 is quite fun.
Maybe I need to play more Gears of War, people tell me it gets better, but right now I'm not seeing it.
I tried the Lost Planet demo on PC, but not being able to see anything because of all the snow pissed me off quite quickly.

Yep, this is a definite buy for me as well, I have never played the original game on PS2 or GameCube anyway, and almost every single review of the game on the Wii, states that it is quite possibly the best use of the Wiimote & Nunchuck so far in any game.
The game was already stated as the best Horror game made, and nearly everyone gave it a 9 or 10 out of 10 rating.
It's dead cheap too, only £25, so if you haven't played the game before on any other console, it's a bit of a no brainer.

Ooh, that's good to know. I love the principle of the RE games, it's the controls that always put me off them. I was hoping the Wii would address than and by the sounds of things it has.

Overlord got a really bad review in PCG, which is disappointing. I'll be interested to hear what 5punkers have to say about it. I know a couple of you have got it.

I tried the PC demo and it seems pretty crappy narf. I have a 360 controller for my PC and even on that the controls are badly implemented, there's no way to move the camera without first holding down one of the shoulder buttons which is really annoying.
Most of the game consists of moving your minions towards an enemy or object and watching them either attack it or pick it up, I can't see it holding anyones interest for long.

So far, after an hour or so, I mostly like it.
(tnwss)
What I do like:
- sweeping minions. It's all of the win.
- the way minions wear pillaged pumpkins on their heads.
- the general feel of the game.
What I don't like:
- the camera. It's kind of annoying - normally the right stick would be used to control it, but obviously that's not possible.
Runs reasonably okay on my machine - and yes, I am using the xbox 360 controller (which is a highly recommended accessory anyway).
