Hello all! Im at my parents for the use of their washing machine and net connection, thought i would give you lovely fellas an update as to whats happening with me.

The new house finally has a phone line (huzzah!) but the landlord wont allow us to drill holes in the ceiling to pass cables through (boo!) so im still without even 56k shittiness. However, the broadband will be being ordered soon (along with large quantities of wireless gear) so i shall be joining you...ooh, within 3 weeks. Huzzah!

No only that, we will be getting gods own broadband connecton (8meg with a 500gig a month limit, from uk online) so I can quickly make up for my lack of downloading ability :twisted:

I shall see you badger-fuckers shortly! (huzzah! or Boo!, depending on your viewpoint.)

due to the fact that im splitting the cost with my housemates (despite the fact that one hardly uses his computer and the other doesnt actually own one yet) im getting the speedy goodness for a mere £10 a month.

the speedtest was taken while i was downloading stuff over steam and server #1 had 20 players

averages 2000-3000KB/s

that's 700 meg... in 5 minutes.

and to think i'm exited about a full meg broadband upgrade next month...

i have a dream, that one day people of all colours,creeds and pay brackets will have fibre optic internet connections, with instantanious downloads and unlimited bandwidth

now that I'm back at home, I'm maxing out at 1.5 Mbps. no more 8Mbps goodness anymore.
