Well i sent an email to hotmail support. Reason is I get this spam and its says coming from my account. I found this out because i got annoyed and sent a reply back to one saying FUCK OFF but come back to me like i sent my self a message.

This the reply i got from hotmail.
Hello Peter,

Thank you for writing to MSN Hotmail Technical Support. This is Eric and I am writing in response to your concern about receiving junk messages coming from your own e-mail account. I know how important it is fro you to have this issue be investigated immediately.

We appreciate the time you took to report the problem to us. We have
received reports from a subset of our customers who are also experiencing
the problem you have described. We would like to assure you that your
account has not been accessed by someone you do not know and the message was
not really sent from your account.

Most likely, the message headers have been forged to make the message appear
to have been sent from your account even if it was not. Our product
development team is aware of the problem and they are currently looking for
a way to resolve it. We do not have a time frame on when it would be
completely resolved but I assure you that we are taking this issue seriously
and with utmost priority.

We appreciate your continued support as we strive to provide you with the highest quality service available. Thank you for using MSN Hotmail.

Sincerely,

Eric D.

It's very easy to spoof the from and reply addresses etc in an email.

It also makes it pretty likely to get through spam filters.

Most likely your account is still secure etc, so I wouldn't worry.

We've had this problem at work, so it looked like the spam was originated from a military email address. Trying to explain to an officer that there isn't a spammer on station using her email address was like trying to teach Japanese to a fish. They use their work addresses on the internet and then want us to stop the spammers when they start getting viagra adverts
