Starfox Assault

So, I decided to go out and by a gamecube game yesterday, and I saw Starfox Assault. I haven't played a Starfox game since the game that was on the N64. I remember hearing some unflattering comments about Starfox Adventures (mostly how one doesn't actually fly at all) and so I saw this, and it looked promising, and I picked it up.
Having said that background, I thought that the Arwing parts look amazingly good. It's great to see Starfox, as I know it, in such beautiful detail. Unfortunately this kick ass gaming is interupted with what I would classify as a "kick to the nuts" when you're going through the mission breifing and you hear Fox say "I'll go to the surface and check that out!" Granted, that most of the time he's on the surface somewhere you can get into the Landcriuser or whatever they're armored vehicle is called, but damnit, if I want a Starfox game, I want to fly and pointlessly blow shit up.
All in all what I've felt so far is a good experience, I may follow it up when I actually beat it.
