I am very interested in this, I discovered it after my 2 day Terminator binge 2 weeks ago.

I got a sneak preview of the T4 plot:

Sarah Connor goes back in time and sleeps with her grandfather but due to a genetic anomoly created by excess radiation while she was sleeping with her son-in-law in the future she gives birth to an ethnic minority human-terminator hybrid which then gets a job as a policeman in New York Police Department in order to take over the world and rid it of white trash.

/edit TV thingy looks meh. I rekon T3 could have been good had they just paid Arnie to sit in a corner and do fek all. One of the things that made Predator 2 so good was that it left Arnie out, thus reminding us that he wasn't the point. I rather liked the fate driven plot of T3, just couldn't stand the sight of grendad Swarzenneggeeerrrr wading around in that polo neck to cover the wattles on his neck. Oh and female teminators without lazors in their boobies = lose

Im with duke of ted on this, Summer Glau is fucking hot, so i'll watch this even for a bit of cleavage and shit all else.

I watched the first two episodes last night and I was pleasantly surprised, although I wasn't expecting a lot. I couldn't imagine how they could make a TV show out of this, but they did so I watched it out of interest. It mostly works, for now. You could pick holes in it, for instance I don't much like the new Sarah Connor, her acting is not that convincing. But it has some fairly good fight and chasing scenes and Summer does well. Another sci-fi actor pops up in the second episode. I wonder if we'll see those two that went from Farscape to Stargate in later episodes.

I wouldn't put this on par with the other surprising US TV shows of late, Lost, Heroes, Battlestar Galatica, but it's worth a look.

I'm about 1/2 way through revisiting Farscape at the moment having "bought it for the missus" for Christmas

I watched the first one a few days ago, waiting on the second now. It has summer glau's boobies, you don't actually really see anything, but still, she is topless at one point, and butt nekkid at another!


In so far as the actual series goes, sarah connor is a bit shit, the fx are good, john connor is a bit shit, the terminators are better actors than the human, the explosions are good, summer glau's boobies.

6/10.

I don't read books much...but, as far as this TV series goes...mediocracy at its best. I'd rather read the book if there was one. Hmm...scratch that. I'd rather play a mediocre game with that storyline.

So far its ok, it's not amazing. Shame about T3 not fitting in with the whole story/universe thing.



(it gets an extra point because it has a sampling of the Terminator Theme, albeit only a short sample - that tune is teh awesome)

Apparently ep 4 is out too. I'm it from an fairly dependable source, but I'm not too sure about it, I'll let simiantec have another at it look when it's finished.

Episode 3 only appeared on usenet a couple of days ago so I wouldn't expect 4 to appear yet, but I have no idea what the TV schedule in the US is.

I'm glad there's some objective opinions appearing here. I had a look on IMDb before posting and the reviews were either 10/10 or 1/10, sure signs of fanboy activity.
