Ok the R&D portion of things has slowed down a bit. Ahh you say we have R&D. The answer is yes. Quietly working in the under belly of 5punkorp. Again rabbit no touching. When the first tower was on lined a couple month back there was a flurry of activity. Now there are only 5 jobs being run for 5punk or Xpunkers. There are a total of 17 labs running. That means 51 ME and PE labs available. Right now all copy slots are under contract for approximately 30 days. Invention - well another topic for another time. So in effort to boost this up I have started a marketing campaign.

I’m not really sure where all this is going. I would like to hear opinions. I know we have many topics on the state of 5punk so I'll leave those to the other threads. But on the topic of manufacturing and R&D are there any thoughts.

For example I have educated myself to the point that other then copy and invention slots I am not needed to run the ME and PE jobs in the towers. I have 2. If they are in the BUM alliance anyone can use them at any time. See this post if you would like to comment on that.

However this seemed to die quicker then it had time to get started. No interest. So I look to other avenues

As to the marketing. Again see the above link. I am planning on posting daily in the Sell forum to get business. My next goal it to get this invention stuff under my belt.

The link in the above blogger site to a forum has thought to be a place where a newb would want to come back on a regular basis to get info. For example if you want to learn about invention you could come to that site and there would be a ton of good link s to this data.

So in short, you have a shit load of unused ME slots that need filling? Copy slots are going to be a premium as long as invention lasts. ME/PE slots are more than a one off.

Two ideas that spring to mind: invest in BPO's, research them up and sell them on for a small profit

Or talk to any budding capital ship producers (Lyrus might be a good place to start). Cap ship BPO's take an age to research and the speed bonus must be attractive to them.

Also, as I continue to ramp up production I may need some new bpo's for the corp. (Still in the process of sorting, limited gametime ftl). I'll see what I can send your way as well.
