Err... I wonder what prompted this?

You have been invited to join the clan "The Colonial Police" by Old Macdonald. If you accept, your clan will be changed immediately, or you could ignore the invitation and nothing will change. Accept invitation (2007-05-25 10:29)
I wonder if it's a general recruitment drive, or if I was targeted.

Maybe for your spirit-scaring talents?
Somehow I don't think that most of us on here have to worry about receiving an invitation like that, anyway.

Wasn't lacuna that received it - was retribution.

Maybe it is a recruitment drive. CP have suffered a bit of a knock recently (by the MC if you believe the Derby Press, be we know who it really was) so they'll need to build some strength before they can work on getting their reputation back.
Ooh, while I'm thinking on, I understood what Lacuna said for the first time today. Yay for Native Language skill!

They're also demanding that all pirates and natives wishing to stay in York should register on the CP forums, explain any York kills in their profiles, and pay a sum of gold for the privilege of staying there.
Fook that!

That's right Roman has been added to the friendly Pirates area so that he won't be attacked during the raid.
The Coalition however is not charging anyone gold for this status, we just want to know who is friendly and were happy with that.

Furry muff. I'm not actually in York at the moment anyway. I had to vent my insatiable bloodlust (or something) so I'm in between the mountain and Raktam killing natives.
It passes the time.

For what it's worth, Sam credits you with destroying the CP. From Derby, it looked like KJ was the one who destroyed it, though.

Sam's just upset as we did a war manouver and took over the enemies HQ, redecorated it and threw out his collection of novetly fridge magnets.

Well that's sort of true really. If we hadn't done it I'm sure he would have inspired someone else to.
