Savage is very similar to Natural Selection. It's a combination RTS/FPS. Each team has a commander, and they build buildings for the rest of the team to build and such. But, it solves the problem of not being able to buy your own weapons. Plus, it's free!

How do I get in on this gravy train?

1) download the game here: http://downloads.s2games.com/online_ord ... indows.zip
2) Download the 2.00E patch: http://www.s2games.com/savage/patches/S ... _Patch.exe
3) Download the EX2 community patch: http://subsentient.com/savage/EX2-4z-2.exe
4) Install everything in that order!
5) For the CD-key, enter all 0s. then, just register a new account, and you're on your way!

Also, do NOT install any other community patches (i.e. SEP), it will mess up your installation.

Actually, its why i have been so absent from here recently....i am actually in a Savage Clan, and any 5punkers would be welcome to join!

I paid £5 for it before Xmas though, now they give it away for free.....*grumbles*

I didn't get this game. I downloaded it and joined a random server, pushed buttons for a few minutes until I managed to spawn, then like a bear killed me or something. Was it like that for everyone?

as for SEP, i Use it; its miles better than EX2, means you cant use Clan icons but meh.
