I noticed they used to opportunity to remind people how evil other games are at the bottom of the story.

Makes me want to play the game. Verdict: Sucessful advertising campaign for Sony. Promote the guy who thought that one up.

the daily mail makes me laugh, its views are like the photographic negative of mine... an 18 certificate is like a seal of approval on most games, if it doesn't have one it clearly doesn't have enough blood/boobs to keep my attention for... oooo a butterfly

I agree. No more links to the Daily Mail site should be allowed on 5punk.

To be slightly more constructive:
The violent video game thing has been argued ad nauseum, with the Daily Mail crowd's argument being that games corrupt children, and the gamers argument being that they're not supposed to be played by children in the first place. Using a dead goat as a publicity stunt was bloody stupid though - surely they could see this happening? I know some bad publicity can be a good thing (Rockstar being particularly good at that), but I think this one was a pretty bad idea. However, the people getting all heated up about it have no way of knowing how that goat was killed - yeah, it had been decapitated but it might have already been dead when they did it. The comments are pretty much what I'd expect to see from Mail readers - one even asking how they can get away with abusing children and animals for advertising. Where the fuck did children come into it?
