Rather like Dolly's idea of a treasure hunt or something, I've been toying with the idea of creating our very own 5punky adventure. It could include everything from problem solving to a bit of shooting, solving riddles, that sort of thing. It could be just as much fun to actually create the adventure as it would be to actually do it, so perhaps we could make something up, then drop hints via anonymous evemails to the likes of the Hobo's or Lyrus perhaps.
Sound fun or all too much trouble?

Although undoubtedly a bit of a hassle to set up, this sounds like a great idea!

We could even set up contracts like this, trade a cap rig for the bits to make it and some cash, with a bookmark telling them there's another contract at x station that will trade them for the next prize. Hells, we could probably make some isk off that, providing we post the 'bits' at standard unresearched bpo rates, and produce them with a refined bpo. The bookmarks would be marketing basically, and could be from an actual spot in space that might have a gsc w/ a hint for the name.

why you want to be worse than a cosmos agent? hmm
why can'y we just anchor a crap load of cans in space like a picture of a golden cock and once you find this cock you then look for the one with the clue, fly to it and pass word be the clue, like for example:
Who does this golden cock remind you of?
now if you don't know the answer to that then we have worse problems then you not being able to open the can

We could take it outside Eve as well. Unleash the power of the internets on our little hunt, so people have to do some investimagation to get the clues. The ultimate prize is only possible by ordering a pizza to be delivered to my house at 6 o'clock on a Sunday, at which point I shall have NASA display the final clue using nuclear pulse bombs in the sky above a country of your choice.

And you'd best not forget the strippers! If you forget the strippers, we pick your country for the fallout!

Can you see the notes on bookmarks now? Or do you mean name the bookmark with a clue?
I ask because I tried a treasure hunt aaaages ago - I put a can outside a gate and told everyone to be there at a certain time. At that time I'd put the password to the can in local and in it was a bookmark for each player of the location of the next can. In the notes of eack bm was a clue to the password to the next can, and in the end can was some goody or other (it was only worth about 500k, and the cans were worth over a million

).
Problem was nobody could see the notes so I had to open a chat window with each person and tell them the clues. It was all very confusing, made worse by the fact I'd got one answer wrong and possibly got some mixed up too. Also a problem was coming up with questions that fit the Eve universe but were answerable, so they were all about maths, physics, chemistry etc.
Still, everyone seemed to enjoy it. I never did ever manage to reset all the passwords on those cans either.

Don't remeber ever reading anything in the patch notes saying they'd changed it.

Hmmm.
Just a thought now...
But could we coordinate this through a handy-dandy spreadsheet? That ways we could perhaps spread the work out a bit, and allow for more complex design/clue coordination.
Friz's idea of putting it out into the real world got me to thinking, and can we put web addresses as the can names?
Then I got to thinking, how do you keep somebody from grabbing all the BM's in a can and ruining it for everybody else? I thought we'd talked about that once before, but can't remember.
Also, we could set this up as a harassment tactic for our enemies as well, as we could put BM's in the cans for our POS somewhere and have them warp in to a deathstar welcome (A cov ops could drop a small secure can in an IAC home system, couldn't it?)

we can do multiple types.
the one i am doing is in game and 5punk/FW4PPERS only. clues will be can names and the answers will be passwords. inside the cans will be presents and bm to next can or finish line. there will be no emails for clues, there will be no chat box or anything. FW4PPERS would be channel for any questions. also i would plan no more than 10 GSC with no more than 10 jumps in between cans, odds are most likely 5 jumps on average.
the outside one I think would be a good one for the whole alliance not just us.
anyone caught removing the BM from the can screwing over the rest of 5punk will a) not act in a 5punky way and b) will be shot and podded - implants and all. we do not steal from friends and corp mates, in a way the act you describe is a lesser form of a corp thief.
