Anarchy Online is going to be the first of many subscription MMO's to have advertising in-game unless you subscribe.

I can see this being expanded into quite a lot of other subscription based games, as they plan on placing advertisements "in-game" dotted around all over the place.

If I pay the government a fee, can I have every billboard/poster/tv advert disapear in real life? (Thinking about it, I would do this!)

its in its up. it works quite well. i actually choose to have them turned on. gives the game a kinda bladerunner feel to it. and the plain billboards all seem to share the same 3 images when its off so wtf D
