Right ho, unsure if any of you are fans of the Chemical Brothers but their latest album "We Are The Night" is out on 18th June and I'm Very Fucking Excited about it. A couple of tracks were released early under the name Electronic Battle Weapon 8 and 9 and they're pretty fucking good too.
So anyway if anybody wants a wee preview of the new album, give me a prod and I'll pass you my floorware box to have a rummage in.

Be good to hear, although typically there are only a couple of tracks I really like on any given album.

It's not just me then? I was starting to think I was weird because I almost always do this. Oddly enough, the few albums that I like most of the songs on are the ones I wasn't really bothered about like Coldplay, Oasis and Maroon Five.

I'm very similar. There will be albums that I like every track on but these are rare at best. Mostly I just pick and choose.

This hard.
In general 'traditional' rock bands have better albums as they tend to have a process they follow on every song they make (drums first, then base then lead guitar then vocals etc.) where they all work together and share input and whatnot. Whereas the rule seems to be if theres at least a few good tunes then the remainder of 'this type' (good god i sound like my Nan!) of music can be rushed out while high on crack.
Then there are the exceptions to the rule, fatboy slim for example has some pretty brilliant albums while the red hot chilli peppers... Well they are clearly only in it for the money so no real suprise there then.
