Okay, tested a little now.

Seems to have fixed the distance fog issue in CS:S and ArmA

Also seems to have upped CS:S performance a fair bit.

3Dmark scores are a little better, but nothing massive (can't be sure as i'm running on half ram)

No noticeable performance changes in city of heroes (but it tells me my drivers are old*)

*This is because a lot of games were unable to recognise the 101.xx driver code, as it was being read as 01xx, now they've jumped to 158.xx, they're reading the driver as 58xx, which works but some games will warn you that you're on old drivers, because that's what they're being told you have, sorta. This shouldn't affect performance at all.

Slower RAM or less RAM? I found my extra speed memory made the least difference as far as 3Dmark scores go.

I've haven't put up my scores on the new box yet, as I haven't really finished tweaking yet - a stable config for me is one that runs for two weeks without problems. Got around 10,000 in 3D06 with factory settings, although of course my GPU is factory overclocked to 626/2x1k.

Less ram. (1Gb rather than 2GB)

One of my sticks died.

These drivers made mine cry, my monitor just kept saying "out of range" until I rolled it back in Safe Mode.

Work fine for me, didn't have any problems to begin with and still have none. Even got an extra 150 3DMark06 points.

I'm wondering if this is the reason that BF2142 was borked for me last night?
