Truce Proposal

Well, it seems like the hypocrisy levels over at the Colonial Police have been dropping recently. For instance, earlier today, Kjendlie censured Nighter for Nighter's hit and run attacks on the Waugh Arms. I think this marks a major turning point in the hostilities between our two groups...
and that's why I'm proposing a cessation of hostilities for the duration of the York Cup, so that the Colonial Police and our York-based members can aid in the defence of York (or at least be left to heal the injured in peace). If you're from outside York and you're going to be participating in the Cup, this proposed truce wouldn't affect you.
I for one won't be attacking Colonial Police members, and for the next month or so I'll be healing Colonial Police members outside the Waugh Arms.
So, what do people think?

I've stopped attacking them anyway unless they attack in the Waugh. The only problem I've ever had with CP is Kjendlie's absolute refusal to listen to reason, and I expect he'll continue to refuse even with a peace offer. Despite the fact that we're doing exactly what they would be doing in the Waugh.
If you can get Kjendlie to stop calling us criminals then I'm okay with it. What about their building though? I can't see them being too receptive while we've turned their HQ into a boozer.

I don't think the building thing is a big stumbling block, to be honest. As to Kjendlie not calling us criminals, he
seems to have climbed down somewhat from his earlier "all 5punkers are automatically criminals no matter what" stance. Combine that with the outside threat for the duration of the York Cup, and I'm hopeful that a ceasefire (at least a temporary one) could work.
I've posted my offer on the Colonial Police forums, and I've linked to this thread as well. I guess we'll just see how it goes.

I am in agreement - I've not actually attacked a CP type for ages now.
Despite the delusional claims of Serious Sam etc, we are not having our "arses handed to us" - at the moment this is just a war of attrition. What sort of truce terms do you reckon we should consider?

Yeah, sounds good.
Means we can put our numbers to good use on a healing spree.

I'm in, but... it would basically mean giving the Waugh up. How about if we rent it out to the CP for a while then retake it by horse after the cup? Sam and his alts friends won't stop the butcher unless we do and besides, we will be sitting ducks.

I've had an offer from kenwendie that seems promising.
Not ready to go into details just yet (until we've negotiated some terms a little)
But it would/will allow us to keep the waugh.

Well, we have time to negotiate a permanent truce.
The Colonial Police have accepted our proposed York Cup truce.
Under the terms of this truce, everything will continue as it has been, just that we don't attack them (unless a member has signed up for the York Cup) and they don't attack us. I'll be healing them when I see them around, too.
What this means is that unless you're participating in the York Cup,
please don't attack any Colonial Police members. Our members have never really been random PKers, so that shouldn't be a problem, but please don't start now.

Seriously. This truce took some effort, and may be a little shaky. We need to make sure we're not the ones who break it.
Moving forward, Kjendlie and I (assisted by some others) will be working towards a more lasting peace on terms that are mutually acceptable to both groups and that will benefit the whole of York.

I'm a contestant in the York Cup, so I WILL be attacking CP members. I won't attack 5punkers and the Colon Police but I imagine that's going to be easy since I don't really go inside York much, as it is safer just attacking stragglers in the jungle around the town.

You're exempted from the truce, and the Colonial Police know that too, so it's all good, kill away. Kill us too if you like, like Berk said - it's all in a good cause, and we
will be healing your enemies after all.

there's nothing to heal, man. I don't attack anyone unless I'm sure i'll be able to finish him off.

hold that thought, someone from the

will pay. If not with his life then with cash.

I'm sure there'll still be plenty of people to kill by the time you get back to York.

yuh, I'm sure. Thank god that Broderick pud is from York. He counts.

Peace in our time!
*waves paper*
Good work chaps!
Note: I never got round to entering the York Cup so I won't be participating. I'll either head into York and heal people, or I'll lurk around the jungle spanking monkeys.

Seeing as all the pathetic participants have completely failed to kill me, I spent my time wandering around insulting our various unfriendlies. And telling Oztec that Serious Sam is a zombie.
