In my role as official OMG 5punk is down bitch, I figure I may as well cover this.

Apparently, 5punk's FTP was haxxed (we think) and nastiness happened.

we'll be keeping more backups and working on restoring stuff, so hold on and don't panic.

Big thanks to Stoat and Berk (and possibly Joose) for jumping straight in and sorting this out. I really thought we were fucked after watching the FTP site get smaller and smaller and then vanish, but logging in this morning it looks like we've got most things back. Looks like we owe you beers at the Grim-bash!

Congrats for fixing it enough for me to be able to post at work. Any idea on who/why?

Looks like probably a hole in an upload function (such as in /uploads) unfortunately all our stuff got deleted (so it's not so easy to tell what happened)

Lanarchy and one of prof's customers got hit, so it likely wasn't targeted at us.

Agreed (agreed last night actually). Until then the /uploads facility has been removed.
