Stuff we need to do

Algey wants us to ramp up the operation in 9UY a bit, and also for a good bit of practice so we need to be prepared to form a decent fleet at short notice. He's keen to try spanking a Sylph or CVA fleet for example. Therefore we all need to:
1. Move a fleet ship to 9UY (whatever your specialist role is - bs, dictor, EW, sniper etc) and preferably have a spare ship handy too. Edit: Doesn't have to be a bs! But any decent fleet ship (none of this crappy cruiser support borrox).
2. Move cap ships to within jump range (er...that's basically just Jimmy, but I don't suppose you'd want to frontline your carrier? We have no POS there).
Silver - you were running the bs building programme. Can you check back with everyone ref fleet bs's to make sure we're all sorted? Corp can still build these I hope.
eRabbit/Jimmy - can you guys organise an op to move all our ships out to 9UY sometime this week please? Let us know the jump off point so we can get things shifted down.
Dres/Dolly - Can you check stocks of crystals, barges, strip miners, haulers, fittings and bpc's for the above and cost up what we need to buy so we could kit out a decent mining op in 0.0
Jack/Morrill - Sitrep on the bpo researching please?
Fear/FJ - Is the kb ready to make it the Alliance one now? Think we may have to tweak the colours a bit to keep everyone happy
In short, while Steamy is working on getting us an isk making area so we can blow up carriers without worrying about it, we're going to up our game a bit and then make a move on IAC. I'll keep you updated as things develop.

Anyone needing a fleet BS, yell.

Get your ships you want to take down to Jarizza, safe space, 3 jumps from Assah and therefore close to the short pipe down to 9UY.
We're looking at moving some ships soon, so if you want a fleet ship moved as part of a corp op, get it to Jarizza by Wednesday evening, we'll move out at about 19:00 Eve time. It's not a long journey so won't take long.

Carrier is in jump range as we speak with a JC setup to it...
Only problem i have is A) I don't want to be alone!! (aka not just me in a carrier) B) We have enough support.
Im scraping together isk to get a fleet BS so will move this down
EDIT: Do I need to move my dread aswell?

Done.
I have reverted back away from my 5punky colours to black/orange and made a random banner until Davik invents something.
eRabbit doesn't like the blue in the name (I thought it was quite fitting but
whatever wabbit*) so that will be pink soon probably. We'll see what he comes up with.
*Love you really

I'm not terribly well suited to piloting a Battleship in a fleet, because I'm a missile whore pretty exclusively. I can however tackle in an Interceptor (Crow) or fly a CovOps (Buzzard). Would these be acceptable? I can possibly get 1 or 2 Crows down from empire in preparation, and my Buzzard.

Fleet needs tacklers. Think we're basicially relying on Lyrus and Hobo's bringing the BS (with some from us) while we do support (since it's what we're good at).
People with Rokhs, Megathrons etc though, BS is more important, and we've several days to prep. If your short something, ffs, tell me now

I've got a crow + falcon in 9UY atm. I can move a Scorpion down for BS/ECM if you like.
The main issue with me is being at work whilst you all go kill stuff. I have the KB up and I keep watching the victims pile up. But, if i'm on and you need me thats what i got for ya.

I only have 1 BS atm , my mission Domi. I have my ranis somewhere near-by and 2 Ishkurs I could run down. Besides that I really have no other ships besides my CovOps and a myrm.

My PVP powers are weak, I'll head toward carebear corp (yet to be named) and work on keeping all your pods well protected and fitted!
Um on that note, I've not got much production skills. Wondering who else might be sending an alt this way.. (Johnny? Mano? Silver? Spear?)
Covetor: 26,000,000
3x Strip miner II's: 79,500,000
Mining laser Upgrade: 50000
survey doohicky: Free
or cap recharge bit
Assets: 2 covetors
105550000 total for a covetor T2 fitted.
We've got 2 Iteron V's as well for stuffing w/ expanders and fllling up to the dashboard w/ tractor beams.
I need to look into what the corp has for T2 Crystals and mining drones, just got to Elgoi before bedtime.
This is account of corp assets only, not taking into account personal assets, as it sounds like they're likely to get lost!

Sorry Friz... thats all I got. I can fly others, but I enjoy the 170k SMACK range. << not a missle guy. I can fly covert ops, no recon just yet. T2 frigs as well.
Im sure I can come up with a couple apoc's, and some good t1 fittings. may not get the range I like but, it'll do. But if your looking for a long range sniper, Im sure can fill that roll just fine.

Well I have a AF and tackle frigs in 9uy and a drake in era waiting to come down.
North has a tier 3 BS for sniping T2 fully fitted for good range.
Sac as well for support but i know its a risk but honestly i dont mind.
So if we need:
BS i use north
support Pete (including salvage)

I could do with a torp fitted Raven, otherwise I can use my interceptor to tackle with NOS and neut (although I may take 1 neut off and fit something else so suggestions for something in the high slot please!)
[edit] would a target painter be of use?

Seems to be some confusion as to what constitutes a decent fleet ship. Here are some very
general rules. Yes I know there are variations but we can discuss those elsewhere.
Fleet ship = survivability, firepower and teamwork
Survivable = avoid cruisers, they die too easily. Do not bother tanking.
Firepower = in general fit for gank, kill them before they kill you. Take close and long range ammo
Teamwork = do NOT try to do everything. Specialise in your role.
Popular fleet ships include:
Sniper ships (e.g. Rokh, Tempest, Apoc)
Interdictors and Interceptors
Covert Ops scouts with probes
EW ships (Scorpion, Rook, Lachesis)
Command Ships
Less good choices but acceptable:
Sniping bc's (e.g. ferox)
Blaster bs
To be avoided:
Pretty much anything using missiles (unless it's a close range gank fleet, then T2 torp ravens are ok)
All cruisers except ECM or RSD combat recons
AF's
Try to fulfill at least one of the top tier if you can. Remember that you don't need to fill your sniper ship with nos and tackling gear, that's being done for you. If in doubt stick an RSD in your spare mid slot.

Having written that, it reminds me why Rydis did all my fleet work in C3. I can't do anything useful in a fleet other than
primary

From Hobo's forum:
Algey wrote:Could everyone please deploy a battleship/fleet ship as far as XXX [Ignore this - we'll stick with our plan], which we will then see about moving to 9UY. Battleships need to have fittings for close range and for sniping, however aim for the close range fit first. The time span for this is by Sunday 15th (if you need to run missions or whatever to get the ship please do so this week).
We are going to move onto disrupting IAC as much as possible, however the CVA and Sylph gangs that keep trying to disrupt our operations need to be dealt with as well (and those nuggets that camp Y-M).
I'd like to make out hosts happy by keeping these pests down as much as possible, freeing us up to concentrate on IAC.
IAC will be getting assaulted in the near future, and Steamy is negotiating to allow us mining/ratting rights in a very safe piece of space in exchange for us helping to suppress IAC (not pos warfare, supply line interdiction).
As one of our goals is to remove IAC, and another is to negotiate safe 0.0 access for our mining and industrial alts, this seems like a very good deal where we get to do what we enjoy, and we get rewarded for it.
If you have a front line carrier could you please move it to within jump range of 9UY, and post to say that it is available.

I've got nothing by way of a fleet ship and the only thing s I can do at the moment is snipe or tackle. If snipers are needed, can the corp build me a Megathron. If there's more need for tacklers I'll send Cyrinn along in her Crow.

Blasterthron tiem, I still need a few more skills but I'm almost there. T2 long range stuff is still a while away for me so if we go long range I'd rather fly an inty.

Why? iron still works fine, and T2 hasn't for quite a long time conveyed the damage or range bonus it once did. Anyway, we've enough dictor pilots for tacklage..
