New Home Suggestion(s)

Hey guys just been thinking about this a while since we decided to move back to empire. Where are we to go? We got a temporary office in Elgoi which is familiar stomping ground to corp and its worked out so far. During a conversation on vent to today there was a set of requirements that would be needed for a corp office.
  • Plenty of good roids
    Ice access
    Good Market
    Low Security Access
    50% Refinery
    Cheap Office Rent
    Factory availability
    Research availability
    Complexes
    Cosmos - Optional
    Good Agent
I have found a system that might work well for us.

Region - Tash-Murkon
System - TIVIDU
Security Status - 0.6
Station Tividu IV - Moon 3 - Kaalakiota Corporation Factory

Research Availability - Yes
Refinery 30%, but there is 4 other station in system that have 50% refinery
Market - Tash-Murkon Prime is 3 jumps away - one of the top 3 in EVE
Low Security Access - 2 jumps away
Ice Belts - 4 total, 2 of them right next door 1 jump away
Roids - only 2 in system but there are 36 belts 1 jump away
Factory Availability - Yes
Medical Facilities - Yes
Cheap Office Rent - 50k isk a month
Cosmos - Amarr 12 jumps away
Complexes - 4 - 3/10 and 1 5/10 complexes with in 4 jumps
Missions - 45 lvl 1 - 4 Amarr and Caladari Agent all kill agents (80% or more kill) and each gives faction ships

The reason why I chose this site if for a few reasons. My 5 lvl 4 agents are all within 11 jumps from here. Also most of 5punk of Fw4ppers has done Ammatar missions so your standings will carry over. Local in system and next doors are virtually empty. Tash-Murkon is a good market but with less risk than areas like Jita. I know some other corp mates run missions around here and with this area as office it makes the availability of other corps mates to help out. Complexes, the 5/10 allows BS so we can have some fun with that, Rogue Drone by the way. Also since its in Amarr area there is less people which results in less lag. We also have ice belts and roid belts kernite on down. Now yes they are mainly 1 jump away but were not mining in low security and we're not in alliance so jumping the hulks 1 jump is really not an issue. Yes theres thing as WT and grievers but not like we're traveling solo in barges 5-6 jumps we're only talking 1 jump. Till we all decide 100% I'll keep on looking.

Feel free to suggest an alternative or flame my idea.

How far is it from our current home? Moving again this soon is FAIL!
Having a good second office to base ops from w/ JC's though is WIN.

I just don't have isk to have two sets of ships atm, so wondering about the location compared to now.

Elgoi was indeed just a temporary holding area 'until/if' we found somewhere better and it's an area of space I've not played with. Near the main travel pipe HED<->Jita, not so far from Tash/Amarr and low sec jump off markets in Esa etc. Sounds good to me.

Dres: understand your reservations completely on moving again so soon. I will hand out freight containers to everyone soon to replace the mass of GCS's we use. If people use freight containers for everyday hangar organisation, it'll make these moves a whole lot easier if we need to do them ever and we have 2 freighters now.

We won't go until we've got a majority :likesitall: though.

ok i just got out of the movie 300. I was utterly disappointed in the movie. This is from one greek history buff to the masses. Let me just try to settle so nerves for some people.

1) Elgoi was always temporarily. The area can be made permanent and it is far from saying hey guess what we're moving. That is not the case so please not think this way. This move when we all decide when to move should be beneficial to us all.

2) Yes this move is beneficial for me but if 5punk corp is serious about doing missions before we move back out to 0.0 I personally think that this will be best for corp.

3) Corp is not going no where at all till we all vote and decide to move. Seriously this part is 100% in affect. Only reason why I rented it in first place was a) its cheap b) my 1st choice was all ready full.

Moving sucks we will all agree to that. All I am suggesting is better roids to mine, ice to mine, and missions where we'll wll be ok.

PS I am drunk, I saw 300 and pissed off the way it was portrayed (greek history buff) so if any thing I way doesn't make sice that is why and I will clarify once sober.

about the 300; check this review

Neil Cumpston is the best movie reviewer in the known universe, Petar Jackson said Neil's review of RoTK, which included the immortal line "then there's this fight that will make you shit stuff that you did not eat" gave him reson to carry on movie making*

*may not be true

Just to put this one to bed: opinion is split both ways so I think we'll have to settle for a compromise. Basically I think most people just don't want to up sticks and move again quite yet so the word is wait out!

However, Dolly's opened a mission running office down South but main HQ is staying up in Elgoi for now. I know this seem weighted in favour of Elgoi but...well it is :P That's where all our stuff is at the moment and I couldn't be arsefecked to move it all again right now. However, give it another week or so and we can relook at the situation: mining/low sec POS/near to hunting grounds etc may all change the balance of opinion in favour of moving elswhere.

yeah the only reason why I rented it was A) i wanted TARU station full b) i wanted aphend but station was full c) 5ok isk was cheap so getting the spot was a no brainier. its also real close to SIEH i think it is. we also don't need to shut elgoi down, i do all my mining for corp any ways so i'll stick to mining these super low ends for now. i am going to start moving somethings, i.e. ammo bpo i got and some stuff to get ready for my own exploration. fear, trav, pass and the others that are there. let me know if you need special ammo for you missions and i'll get a bunch made there.

once again I see no reason why we can't run multiple offices. i would suggest the guys out in JEL area to do the same, find a really cheap office, and base a hub where everyone over there works out of.

damn got to go to school bbl

Agreed Dolly. Btw, I sorted out the BPO/BPC pile in Elgoi. All the ship BPO's are in a can and locked down, the module BPO's in a can but not locked. Travey's put his BPO's in there too for us to use (I've got a couple of corp BPO's and his Caracal BPO next door to run some off). There's a shit tonne of ammo and module BPC's so help yourself to a slack handful for your base of operations, just leave some duplicates for us! I bought all 4 HAM's BPO's and accidentally put 200k runs of each on so we'll have a few of them kicking about. Let me know if there's any stuff you want freightered down.

Basically, Elgoi should stay as the main office, with each of these 'outpost' mission offices having the bare minimum to keep the mission runners going. I expect that's mainly going to be a few ammo bpo's since you can repro the loot for minerals.

yeah exactly friz. i'll poke my head up there tonight and take a peak. anyone who is going to run missions out of the office i set up let me know what ones you'll need. i own 2x every cruise missile bpo all ready so i am good there. i also got some t1 ships, rigs and tractor beam bpo's as well.

so friz your making 200k runs * 100 unit/run = 20,000,000 units of each /me in borat tone says "very nice"

The nice thing about Jel is that I'm 10j from damn near everywhere. Need to go to Elgoi, 7j, need to go help Dolly, 12j, Jita? Another 12j. Khank is about 14j. So anywhere I need to be I can get there rather quick. I'm not sure how many people are here with me in Jel (me andwabbit I think) so I don't feel we need an office there.
