Results of sundays mining op

First off, thanks to everyone who turned up, donated some time in the roid belts and who helped set a new record for number of 5punkers mining at the same time, in the same place. T'was most win seeing that many barges and hulks just ripping astroid belts to pieces, and once we got that niging thing about haulers sorted I don't think we could have gone much faster.

Who would expect a corp the size of 5punk to build a carrier every month?

Great job guys!
r there any 0.4 systems near bye hq? we have the same turn out next Sunday as this past Sunday we could make a real killing and get some isogen and noc in the mix. there were a few guys chillin yesterday in their attack ships so they can get a little more excitement i was thinking:
1 tackler
2-3 omgwtfpwnbbq guys
1 hauler = 2/3 miners (3-4 groups)
4 groups (3 miners a group) puts us at 20 people
their is more risk, but any hulk pilot can tank a 0.4 system rat and i'll volunteer if no takers.
i would say 0.5 to get the kernite = isogen but they repop every Monday and Friday so it won't be there once we are all on.
guys we normally mine in 0.0 so a 0.4 should be nothing for us. I use to mine 0.4 before 0.0 and pirate wise there was little to none and when there was it was a solo hostile. 5punkfleet is main line of defense no pirate should get through us, NOT ONE! This would be a great opportunity to get Fw4ppers a little more taste of what we do so well.
the no rats was good, and the company was great and you know it wouldn't be me if I didn't say this but, i would like to work on this for next time
1) we get some sort of voice service, typing in 8 windows is nerve racking, death talked to me through xfire the other day so we might want to look into that or something else. i missed the uncontrollable giggling, the occasional tickling the prostate and such. TDOE use to have a team speak before Q would know better there. WAIT - just thought of something since PRAX is leaving ISS is there something we could do to reserve a slot for us, like give them an amount of isk a week or something?
2) the lack of any type of risk bored me, lets get the occasional rat
3) the popping or a roid after 2 cycles either damn we're getting some nasty skills or these roids got premature popping issues.
4) friz cleans out some of them songs in your library or make a play list, friz where did you fine some of them songs, 98% ♥ it but there was an occasional song that i had to hit the mute button on
5) i can't stress this enough and your going to see it every week in forums about mining op till i see it stopped. look at the roid your mining. if there is another strip mining it don't mine it, mine a different roid. when we are using T2 strips add another 30-40% in yield to what we mined yesterday but when miner A pops miner B roid then he wastes miner B cycle. Now yes we were only mining veld and scord but if we were mining ark we would have lost 50-100mil in mins. this is a bad habit to get into so lets work on this next time
overall i thought the turn out was great for an op that was not truly planned in advance. the involvement of pre-5puinkers was good as well. hope to see the size grow even bigger for our next move. Just think guys how rich we would be if we had turn outs like that in rifis. OMG WE WOULD BE FILTHY RICH!

Nearest 0.4 is Frulegur, however deploying a carrier in there just smells of bad juju. There's alot of nearby corps who have dread capacity, and we all know how fast they munch carriers. Molten heath might be worth a look though, or northern heimatar (of which I have dick all experience).

Mining in low sec empire is a lot different from mining in 0.0 space which we have intel channels and fair warning and alliance backup. Low sec is much more dangerous and prone to random ganking.

I'd think there would be less participation in more dangerous space, which while perhaps being more profitable, wouldn't be as inclusive.
If we keep it in space where everyone is comfortable, we won't lose people. There's nothing wrong with having additional ops in low sec, but getting greedy and suggesting changes after one op, especially one that worked so well doesn't seem right.
