Anybody else heard of/ played this? It sounds like quite possibly the most awesome idea for a game ever. You are a lone zombie. You infect other humans and turn them into your zombie warriors. You can possess humans using your severed hand and make them shoot people. Need i say more?

I saw it today and i've looked into it and the reviews seem to point to a pretty fun game. Think i'll be buying it friday for the sexbox, probably wont enjoy it too much on the pc methinks.

Official website yadda yadda stuff follows:

website wrote:From the Executive Producer of Halo, comes Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse. You play as Stubbs, an undead antihero who takes on a futuristic city using nothing but his own carcass and the weapons of his possessed enemies. This third-person action game uses the Halo engine and integrates tongue-in-cheek humor and a strong storyline with innovative combat.

In death, Stubbs has finally achieved the success and power he never had in life – and he sees no reason to stop until all of Punchbowl, Pennyslvania is his. Of course, billionaire playboy industrialist Andrew Monday has other ideas. The tension mounts until the city explodes in a full-scale human vs. zombie war.
Features:

* Be the Zombie in an epic battle between the living and the dead.
* Take over Punchbowl, an immersive, futuristic city built with the Halo engine.
* Convert bitter enemies into a horde of zombie allies by eating their brains.
* Use your body as a weapon: explosive gut grenades, toxic zombie sputum, a severed hand that can crawl through tight spaces and possess the living, and unholy flatulence.
* Possess unsuspecting humans and use their weapons against their friends.
* Use zombie strength to smash down doors and maul any human who gets in your way.
* Original soundtrack features 13 songs from various artists including, Ben Kweller, Death Cab for Cutie, Cake, The Walkmen, Phantom Planet and more!

There was a bit of banter about this when it came out. It got pretty poor reviews and I think a few 5punkers played it to a similar reception. I'd play it if I found it on the floor, but to be honest I don't look down enough to find it.

This, good sir.
Is a most awfull game, I think it looses marks for having such a great idea, and with such bad execution. But it does get kudos as that is the polar opposite to most games today.

Seeing as it was in the bargain bin i decided to put a middle finger up to the lot of you and buy it anyway.

Its one of those games you can get drunk as fuck and have fun with, like lego starwars for example, as it has some amazingly funny ideas and cutscenes. Like LOLOLOL funny.

The entire thing is over way too fast though, which is a shame as i quite enjoyed it. I really would recomend this as a rental, or dirt cheap pre-owned.
Couldnt imagine it being good on the pc though. It is the halo engine after all....

It gets a:
:starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starfull: :starempty: :starempty: :starempty: :starempty:
Mainly for being so dam short :(
