5punk

Discord is a web based chat/skype type thing. It appears good, and is free, so I have set us up a 5punky discord server. It can be used for gaems chatting (if its good we might be able to ditch TS) as well as text chatting for people who are around in the day and can access it from werk/do not go to werk.

it's really good and pretty much makes teamspeak outmoded so no one has to pay for it anymore! woo!

I like it. If it'd come along about six months earlier I'd probably be using it. Unfortunately I'd already migrated from Skype (which is being fucked by Microsoft) to Slack (which is good but has no voice) and don't want to move to yet another chat/talky app. Also it doesn't support plugins yet, which are important for some of the games I play. Otherwise a very good Skype replacement.

I've set up a widget on the front page for the 5punky server. Joose, if you enable widgets in the server settings it should hopefully show up.
