Incidentally, if usenet isn't your thing, http://showrss.info/ is meant to a rather effective means of downloading backups of shows for which you already hold an appropriate license.

Well that's unfortunate. I once used usenet but found it a bit too much of a hassle for just the occasional film or game, then I started using demonoid but that died a silent death so I switched over to TPB. Demonoid is back now but it can't quite offer the amount of choice TPB had... Might give usenet another go, if I can figure out how to set it up again...

It's really not all that bad, but it's very much a matter of spending an hour or 2 getting it all together, then never having to think ever again.
